All terrible qualities which other readers are justified in being appalled by. Here's the thing though, there are real life people like Travis and Abby and Parker. There are men who are controlling, there are women who will string a man (men, as the case here) along, and there are men who think they can buy affection. The fact that those qualities were present in these characters is not per se a bad thing. A book about self-destructive people in a codependent relationship could be a very interesting read, and I don't begrudge this book for creating a story about people like this.
