Mermaids were mythical aquatic creatures known through all manner of legends and lore. Half woman, half fish, these lethally-minded sisters of the sea rise up from the waves to lure men into their arms. Beautiful, conniving and dangerous, mermaids would do anything to protect their homes. For female mermaids, you’ll be able to choose a bathing suit top (including sea shells or cocounuts, haha) for the top half of the mermaid, but male mermaids don’t need to wear anything up top. You also have some new interesting face paint to choose from that you can match to your mermaids fin.

The heart of the main level is the bright and airy living area, complete with comfortable leather sofas and a flatscreen TV. Mermaid's Kiss Merfolk Kiss gives your target a Happy moodlet and says something about helping them to stay underwater longer. Call Clear Skies (-75 Hydration)– Requires Seasons. Can be done both on land and in water. The mermaid blows into a conch shell to change the weather. Cannot be used when the weather is already clear. Evil mermaids cannot use this power.

When you eat the Kelp with a Sim, that Sim gets a 'Strange Sensation'. Enter the water, and you'll become a Mermaid. If you avoid the water for 24h your Sim will not turn. When in create a sim, you can create a mermaid the exact same way you would create a vampire or an alien sim using the occult option. You are unable to change an already created sim into a mermaid using CAS but you can use the mermaid kelp option. The hydration motive serves a second function; it is also a mermaid’s power source. The more hydrated a mermaid is, the more powers they can use. A dehydrated mermaid will not be able to use their powers. More on that in the next section.

Scott's in trouble . This is seemingly only available in shallow water. With this Spell, The Sims sings seem dark-sounding melodies and proceeds to dash underwater toward their victim, pulling them under. This gives them a big +3 Stressed Moodlet, and tends to make Sims scared and leave the water. I don't know that this is really going to contribute to a death, though I kind of wish we had abilities that could be fatal. However, it's a draining spell, and Gives +100 to all the Mermaid's Motives. Siren's Lullaby The Siren's Lullaby is a category with four separate songs, each of which place a positive or negative Moodlet on a Sim that you targeted. All of their durations are 4 Hours.
