There’s also a customizable EQ, but it’s a bit more complex than some other EQs as it uses unusual terms to describe level and frequency adjustment parameters that may make casual listeners feel overwhelmed.

While they come in at the same price, the Jabra Elite 3's 6mm driver is only as large as the smaller driver in the Edifier W240TNs coaxial driver arrangement. Both have 2 mics per bud, mono mode, ANC and transparency modes. The Elite 3s have less battery life in the buds, but the extra juice the case has gives them 3 more hours of life overall.

Playtime (hours): ANC On: 7h (earbuds)+14h (charging case); ANC Off: 8.5h (earbuds)+17h (charging case)

The midrange doesn’t accomplish much aside from some surprisingly clear vocals. I was worried that the W240TN could delve too far into dullness, but that never happened throughout my testing. I think there are some good details here that deliver some surprising bite, especially with crunchy distorted guitars, and of course crisper vocals. Vocals take an immediate dominance in the sound signature, and the focus is warranted, especially with how cleanly they come through. It is definitely the most realistic timbre in this frequency response. Highs Edifier has also provided the user with transparency mode otherwise known as an ambient mode which provides you with a hiss-free implementation with no lag and built-in mics that let me hear a conversation even when am pretending not to listen to that conversation in the office. The Edifier AppThe first thing you will notice about the W240TN is they have moved away from that futuristic design seen with the Neobuds S. These buds are designed in the inspired style of a piston in a car engine but with a sleek design. If you’re streaming music from relatively low-resolution services like Spotify or Sirius XM, you’re not going to any decline in audio performance due to these earbuds using the SBC codec instead of AAC, aptX, or LDAC. If you’re really committed to squeezing the most value out of your Qobuz or Tidal subscription, on the other hand, you need to consider shopping in a different aisle. These earbuds aren’t aimed at you. The Edifier W240TN's ANC is a good offering for the price; slightly stronger than the Soundcore Life A3i, and around the same or a bit better than the 1more ComfoBuds Pro and Soundcore Space A40. You can go to Edifier Connect App to activate game mode for low-latency gaming experience. IP55 Rating – Excellent for Outdoors

Edifier employs hybrid ANC to eliminate vast amounts of ambient noise. How well does the technology perform? Much better than the price suggests. There are a few issues with the control scheme. First, only the double, triple, and long-hold touch are customized. You can’t assign functions individually to each bud, so if you set the double-press for volume down, this will apply to both buds. It’s odd that Edifier doesn’t let you assign the single-press controls. In fact, the companion app makes zero mention of it; you’ll learn through trial and error that it’s for play/pause.First thing I did was replace the narrow diameter/bore eartips with ones with a 5mm diameter. This brought out a much better and unrestricted sound. I have no idea why they give you tips that restrict the sound. With the W240TN you actually get an interesting interior design for a true wireless, with dual dynamic drivers 10mm and 6mms. A Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset is also part of its inside build. For its interactive aspects, Edifier has gone with a more simplified physical button on both earpieces. This method works effectively without any major delays. ANC is average for the price, ineffective with high-frequency noise, but okay with low-frequency noise. Like most newer Bluetooth products, Edifier has a companion app with many features, like dynamic sound mode, custom EQ, and game mode. Bluetooth Sound volume was a little low. Maybe because I normalize all my albums to give close to the same sound level. This drops most music by 6 to 9 dB. So in USB Audio Player Pro (the music APP I use most), I set the pre-gain to 9dB. Doing this gave me plenty of volume at around 90% output. And normal listening volume at around 70% volume. Use Edifier Connect App to easily set your preferred button controls. Say goodbye to default factory settings and say hello to your own idea. EQ settings

The advanced Bluetooth V5.3 technology guarantees stronger anti-interference, and lower power consumption, steadier connection, you don’t have to worry about signal cuts at all. AI DNN Call Noise Cancellation Hassle-Free Communication Thanks to its design, as well as its stable and secure fit, the W240TN’s noise-cancelling performance mostly impresses. Walking about with them in central London, the ANC thins out vehicles on the road without erasing them from your general vicinity, and they do this without applying a noise-cancelling ‘whine’, so what you get here is a fairly clean performance.Meanwhile, the bass from the drum hits is forceful, giving those low frequencies a nice feeling of solidness and impact. And there’s José James’ soulful vocals which the Edifier affords a smooth character to them. Edifier kept a lot of important factors in mind with the W240TN TWS earbuds. They are suitable for gym use where your hands tend to get sweaty and interfere with touch controls. I also recommend these earbuds for rainy regions where constant downpours plague the residents. There are three options of the Sound effect panel: Edifier Classic tuning and a Dynamic tuning that enhances both the treble and bass. Both presets are excellent. A third option allows a listener to customize the EQ and save those settings for future use. You also have the bonus of fast charging 10 minutes of charge will provide you with 2 hours of battery life which will get you out of trouble if that were to happen. Verdict Two preset EQ sound effects are available and more EQ settings can be adjusted by your favor via Edifier Connect App. Shutdown timer function is featured
