Description

An Oxbridge Physics interview (for Physics at Oxford or Physical Natural Sciences at Cambridge) will put completely new demands on your ability to analyse physical situations, apply advanced mathematics to them, and communicate your ideas to a tutor all the while. A successful Oxbridge application can have so many parts – personal statement, admissions test, interview, A-level performance… you’ll want to make sure you get the most out of the precious time you have. I thoroughly enjoyed the efficiency in which the book. There are QR codes in sections discussing exams that enables the reader to take a look at past papers instantaneously (provided you have an internet connection). v) The Oxbridge Formula documents may have logos and digital watermarks, which are not to be removed. Even as a young child, the thrill of overcoming a problem was one I relished, no matter how long it took. Mathematics, as alluring and flawless as it may seem, is full of problems, hence I was swiftly drawn into the subject. Towards the end of my final year in junior school, I realised the challenges set in school alone were not enough to quench my thirst, and began seeking logic puzzles elsewhere.

That’s why we’ve selected our expert tutors to give you everything you need to make sure you blow your competition out of the water! (So to speak.) or presented in speech or writing at a The Oxbridge Formula course or through another of The Oxbridge Formula’s services If you have a child in years 11 or 12 likely to do well/ or having done well in their GCSEs then this book is well worth your time. Although principally aimed at those planing on studying sciences including medicine and the more mathematical subjects such as economics there is much good advice here for any student in lower 6th (year 12).

It has been a while since I posted on education and most children (and their parents!) are missing the support of school at the moment so this is excellent timing for the publication of The Oxbridge Formula by Paarul Shah, Jessica Grindlay and Chris Parker.

As someone who has graduated in an arts degree, I found the book very math heavy. There is a lot space dedicated to solving math questions and I wonder if those would have been more beneficial outside the book. I would wager that maths is the authors passion and that shows in the book. But once again, the volume of maths doesn’t detract from the mission of the book, it just makes it a bit cumbersome at times. But I say this as a person who has specialised in the humanities. ii) You are not permitted to copy, make available or divulge to any unauthorised party, in any way, any of the materials, notes or teachings of our lectures, whether for financial gain or not.
