Description

There are of course the other three kingdoms but I have no idea what they're famous for because I either forgot or it wasn't mentioned. Reading a story from the point of view of a woman who has only been gaslit, used, and abused for most of her life, and is unable to understand the horrific situation she's in is fundamental to all readers, both men and women. The sale of customised goods or perishable goods, sealed audio or video recordings, or software, which has been opened.

Regret and revenge war inside of me, and I need to figure out a plan fast before I get tangled up in the schemes of kings and queens. The world-building is not the most developed, but there is potential for extending it in the next books.Yes, the travel felt a little bit slow at times, but we got to know how Auren's real personality would be if she had a normal life outside her gilded cage. She can still move and the like, she’s not like a statue) she’s kept behind bars in gilded cages, with an intricate network of bridges connecting them so she can move around the palace.

We get some little info about the magical abilities of the inhabitants of Orea, but it is still intriguing enough for me to desperately want to know more about it in the next book, since we're given hints that many things will be explained later.King Midas in my opinion was a pig and whatever altruistic motives initially drove him it’s apparent that they’re now long gone. The first instalment of Raven Kennedy's sensational and sexy dark fantasy series introduces Auren, a poor girl turned to gold as the plaything of King Midas and forced into a dangerous and demeaning position as a bargaining chip during wartime. Because my wings may have been clipped, but I am not in a cage, and I'm finally free to fly from the frozen kingdoms I've been kept in.

I have burned down the court of King Midas and from those flames, I will rise and wield my own power. However as the book prgresses you realise things and people are not what they seem, bit by bit the layers are stripped back and you start to see people for what they really are.the fact that the appearance of a male character that actually respects women was so EXCITING gives you an idea of what it’s like. Despite the YA-looking cover, and its striking similarity in title and design to the Marissa Meyer book GILDED (which I keep mixing it up with), this is not a book for the kiddies. I finished the book purely to see what people actually like about it, and ended up doubting myself and everything I acknowledged as literature so far.
