Description

Cook the condensed milk and chocolate mixture and stir regularly until the chocolate has melted and the ingredients have combined. Add the melted butter, chocolate and syrup mixture to a bowl, followed by the digestives and Maltesers (leave a few aside to decorate the top). Mix together well. Maltesers are a British confectionery product manufactured by Mars, Incorporated. First sold in the UK in 1937, they were originally aimed at women. They have since been sold in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United States and Middle East. The slogan is "The lighter way to enjoy chocolate". [1] This 4 Ingredient No Bake Malteser and Mars Bar Fudge Recipe is ridiculously easy to make and I actually can’t believe it’s taken me this long to make it! Although I was wanting to wait for a special occasion to try this recipe, with nothing on the horizon I decided to make it just because – after all when there is chocolate involved who really needs an excuse?!

The bars are fudgy with a sweet milk chocolate flavor and a hint of malt – just like you’d expect. They’re filled with Rice Bubbles (AKA Rice Krispies for everyone in North America), crushed biscuits, and chopped Maltesers for a texture that’s chewy and soft, but still filled with a little crunch. The chocolate on top helps to hold the bars together. Plus, I don’t think you can have a slice recipe with only 1 layer. Sprinkle over the chopped and whole maltesers and then place in the fridge to set, this should take about 4 hours. In Canada, the ingredients are: sugar, modified milk ingredients, malted milk powder (malted barley, corn syrup, modified milk ingredients, wheat flour, modified and hydrogenated palm oil, sugar, wheat gluten, sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate, salt), cocoa butter, cocoa mass, corn syrup, palm and palm kernel oil, lactose, malted barley extract, soy lecithin, ammonium salt of phosphorylated glyceride, pectin, sorbitan tristearate, artificial flavour. Types of Maltesers

Melt the white chocolate in a bowl over a pan of barely simmering water (ensuring the water does not touch the bottom of the bowl), then pour over the top of the mixture in the tray. Crush your leftover Maltesers and sprinkle over the top. Leave the whole thing to set in the fridge for three hours or until set.

If you don’t like dates then you can substitute them for equal quantities of raisins or even leave them out all together. Crush the biscuits. You can do this by hand or in a food processor. Don’t blitz them to fine crumbs as if you were making a cheesecake base – you need a mixture of both small crumbs and larger pieces of biscuit. Add about 1-2 cm of water to a medium saucepan over low heat and place a glass bowl overtop. Ensure that the bottom of the bowl isn't touching the water.
