The Fifty Shades trilogy has also attracted criticism due to its depictions of BDSM, with Katie Roiphe of Newsweek asking "But why, for women especially, would free will be a burden? I still have an unfinished book on my "currently reading" shelf because the super long physical description of the hero made me think of Fabio. He's crazy with a side of fries and he utters the worst romanticisms this side of a Nicholas Sparks novel. She's so unsure of herself, in fact, that she keeps asking the reader questions; "What is he trying to tell me? One of Christian's "ex-subs" (that's ex-submissive for those who aren't in the know *wink wink*) is wandering around, apparently armed and gunning for Ana.

I sort of hurt using that word because there is absolutely nothing rational about Ana, but anyway, that's what it's supposed to be. Fifty Shades Freed won the Goodreads Choice Award (2012), and Fifty Shades of Grey was selected as one of the 100 Great Reads, as voted by readers, in PBS's The Great American Read (2018). My first thoughts on the audio book were that the narrator, Becca Battoe, did not whatsoever convey the mild personality of Anastasia Steele. In an interview with Salon, several dominatrices have responded that while submission can be an escape from daily stresses, they also frequently have male clients and that trust is a big factor in dominant/submissive relationships. Focused way too much on having sex every five minutes - but with more in the story line even that could have been forgiven. She believes that finally they might be able to share the kind of love and romance she's wanted all along. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Ana learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven, and demanding Fifty Shades. Erotic, sparkling and suspenseful, Fifty Shades Darker is the irresistibly addictive second part of the Fifty Shades trilogy. Maybe they have in terms of their relationship, with Christian offering Ana a new proposition which may be more suited to her weak personality (well, at least she's no Bella Swan).

But the horrors of his childhood still haunt him, and Ana’s scheming boss, Jack Hyde, clearly wants her for himself. I have to agree with you on this because for every instance where I was like, "Hey, that might be fun. Taylor has to forcibly remove Ana from her apartment, and the whole time we're treated to Ana's bullshit thoughts regarding whether or not Christian is going to leave her for Leila. This book sounds great but the narrators voice is terrible, really irratating, which you wouldnt pick up on from the sample but as she has to repeat the same awful 'Oh My's' and 'Holy Sxxt's on average every couple of minutes it really goes through you. While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, and make the most important decision of her life. Ana and Christian get back together and continue to try and make their relationship work, despite various differences. The New Zealand Herald stated that the book "will win no prizes for its prose" and that "there are some exceedingly awful descriptions", but it was also an easy read; "(If you only) can suspend your disbelief and your desire to – if you'll pardon the expression – slap the heroine for having so little self respect, you might enjoy it.

The 2 of them get back together and the usual hot, steamy sex continues, albeit with Ana occasionally questioning him whether she's 'enough for him'.Romantic, liberating and totally addictive, Fifty Shades Darker will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you for ever . But as she begins her new job as an assistant editor at a publishing house, memories of Christian still consume her thoughts and her desire is still for him alone.
