A well-known thing about Caffeine isthat it improves the microcirculation of the blood vessels. Though conventional wisdom and anecdotal evidence says that this property is helpful for dark under-eye circles and puffy eyes, we have to mention that the double-blind research we have found about a 3% caffeine gel concluded that " the overall efficacy of the selected caffeine gel in reducing puffy eyes was not significantly different from that of its gel base." But you know, the proof is in the pudding. I’ve noticed a change in my under eye skin over the last couple of months in that it looks more dehydrated, not normally a complaint coming from my skin that tends to lie on the oiler side of the scale but I took this as a sign as needing to give the delicate area some much needed love and attention, or at least a bit more so. The Body Shop ‘Oils of Life’ Eye cream gel The ultra-light and smoothing eye cream-gel feels fresh upon application and melts onto skin. Infused with three precious seed oils, eye contours are visibly revitalized and look more radiant. Signs of ageing appear reduced, wrinkles appear smoothed, dark circles look visibly faded and bags appear depuffed.

Another thing Caffeine is used for in body care products is its anti-cellulite effects. In theory, it can speed up the lipolysis process (the "fat burning" by our cells) andstimulate the draining lymph system that might lead to the improvement of cellulite. But here again, the evidence that it actually makes a measurable, let alone visible, improvement on actualhuman beings is limited (we could find only some animal skin studies or caffeine being combined with other actives). As for modern research and chemical composition, the fixed oil from the seeds is richin skin-nourishing unsaturated fatty acids ( mainly linoleic acid at 50 – 60%and oleic acid at 20%, but also contains some rare ones like C20:2 arachidic and eicosadienoic acids), amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. A component called thymoquinone (it's the main component of the volatile oil part, but the fixed oil also contains some) is considered to give the seed its main therapeutic properties including strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory abilities.

I have always been a fan of oils for the skin, probably because my skin is dehydrated, but these are designed for all skin types to use. In the range you have 4 key products and also a face massager which you never knew you needed till you try it. INGREDIENTS: Aqua, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Niacinamide, Dimethicone, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Isononyl Isononanoate, Fagus Sylvatica Bud Extract, Caffeine, Phenoxyethanol, Silica Silylate, Dimethiconol, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Chlorphenesin, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, Salicylic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Nigella Sativa Seed Oil, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-t-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Menthoxypropanediol, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, t-Butyl Alcohol, Alteromonas Ferment Extract, Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Tin Oxide, Tocopherol, Citric Acid, CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 19140. So to sum it all up, here’s my list of pros and cons for the The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Eye Cream-Gel: It only takes the smallest amount (I’m talking about quart of a pea size) to cover the entire eye area. The formula dries super fast and leaves a completely matte finish to my skin. It doesn’t provide very much in terms of hydration (so I wouldn’t recommend this for dry skin), however it does make my skin area feel very smooth and soft. The biggest downside is that the formula leaves behind a film that ‘rolls off’ when I rub my fingers on my skin. This is an immediate turn-off for me. I like my eye creams to absorb completely, without leaving behind a residue that coats (and possibly even weighs down) the eye area throughout the day. A while ago I had the opportunity to try The Body Shop Oils of Life Eye Cream. This eye cream claims it will help to reduce the appearance of dark circles and wrinkles, help your eye contour to look smoother, and make your eyes look more radiant.

Helps fade dark circles, reduce fine lines and depuff bags to leave the eye contour looking radiant Contains illuminating micro-pearls which instantly enlighten the eye area and help to disguise dark circles

What do I look for in an eye cream?

Påfør forsigtigt huden omkring øjnene med fingerspidserne. Brug dagligt. Brug en gang om ugen som maske. Før brug, test produktet på et lille område af huden. Gently tap a pea-sized dollop into the skin around your eyes twice a day. Create the ultimate dream team by pairing it with our Intensely Revitalising Cream and your luminous glow is good to go. Sounds good from the title doesn’t it? This is my favorite product in the Oils of Life range. I really do like using an essence lotion, see similar from 001 skincare. You can use this after cleansing and before serum or moisturiser, so it’s sort of like a toner. It gives your skin a nice light coverage of the lotion, nothing greasy feeling and revitalises your skin and prepares it for the next step in your routine. Essence lotions are very popular in Asia and aren’t as familiar over here, so it’s great to see The Body Shop adding one to this collection. If you are unsure, go into the shop and give it a little try, I’m pretty sure you’ll like it. Gently tap a pea-sized dollop into the skin around your eyes twice a day. Create the ultimate dream team by pairing it with our Intensely Revitalising Cream and your luminous glow is good to go.• Made with 97% ingredients of natural origin
