the exposure to violence can desensitize children from pain and suffering, lead to aggressiveness, and make them perceive the world as a mean and dangerous place A happy and harmonious child begets a beginnings of a well-adjusted adult. if we just meet this in the short-term perspective and give in to all their whims, there will also be short-term results and long-term repercussions

Socialism continued to be pursued for two centuries, despite wishful thinking and bitter disappointment. Finally, in a dramatic fin de siècle, socialism imploded, with falling walls and collapsing regimes.

To him, a plumber was a plumber, not a proletarian. A worker was a guy trying to squeeze the most he could out of his job and hoping to get a better one. And if he was something more than flesh and blood, as he assuredly was, it was not because he was an embodiment of historical processes, but rather a husband, father, worshiper, patriot, pianist, artist, baseball player.” Gotta love common-sense like that. Mr. Muravchik explains in the epilogue the only case of a successful socialist community, the kibbutzim in Israel. Successful yes, but only for a generation or two. What happened? First published in 1654, Heaven on Earth is a treatise on Christian assurance. Brooks explores in great depth the roots, essence, and fruit of assurance within a genuine child of God. Brooks' contemporary Joseph Caryl summed up Brooks' treatise quite well: "All saints shall enjoy heaven when they leave this earth; some saints enjoy heaven while they are here on earth. That saints might enjoy two heavens is the project of this book." The quality of our family culture pivots entirely upon the awareness we bring to it. Let us bring as much consciousness to this process as we can."

When the common people come to power, the humble worker, the land cultivator, the self-made man and woman, then yo got an American and the American system. Never Socialism. A true American is a man like George Meany. Thankfully, most Americans can recognize themselves in Meany, still at this day and time. But these are small criticisms of an otherwise first-rate book; and they are not so damning: for even in these travel sections Kadri's research is prodigious and his descriptions of the abuses of Islamic law, such as in the area of blasphemy in Pakistan, very affecting. At its best, Heaven on Earth is a meditation on how decline – and the attendant loss of self-confidence – can reduce the once grand ideas of a civilisation to petty rigidities. Research findings cited by the author discourages children to be exposed to television and other sources of media (such as gadgets) for the following reasons: Although it was an excellent outcome, it was not the end of the story. After a hiatus of a couple of decades, new voices emerged, proposing to try it all over again. Innocent of all that had come before, they wanted to revive socialism.Today we take for granted that a telescope allows us to see galaxies millions of light years away. But before its invention, people used nothing more than their naked eye to fathom what took place in the visible sky. So how did four men in the 1500's—of different nationality, age, religion, and class—collaborate to discover that the Earth revolved around the Sun? With this radical discovery that went against the Church, they created our contemporary world—and with it, the uneasy conditions of modern life. A child learns through sensory experience, gross and fine motor movements, and imitation. Learning is viewed a lifelong event in which the body, emotions, and the mind all come into play. (See Growth Mindset) From the time of conception, the fetus already starts to learn from his mother’s emotional state and the hormones she releases throughout the pregnancy. Muravchik does a good job of explaining that socialism is not a theory of property, or a theory of human development, or a spontaneous movement of the poor. It is the world's second oldest religion: the belief in man's ability to create heaven on earth, without and against God. It is as old as the Book of Genesis. The last half of Brooks' treatise is a detailed analysis of "the eight special things that accompany salvation:"

This book is about Socialism in action, not ideology, though it obviously gets explained while coursing the lives of those nutty fellows, the wealthy founders of this elitist ideology called Socialism. But it's a 100% history book, delving on the lives of the dudes, on what they preached (and this is not a metaphor) and what they lived, what they said to the crowds, and what they said among themselves. What a bunch of scoundrels, oh my. One way of finding balance and harmony in one’s household is to simplify areas in our lives from material possessions to more abstract ones including commitments and daily activities. story plots can be fast-paced and often the problem is solved within a span of twenty minutes, which is not an imitation of real life where there are plenty of twists and sometimes it takes a long period of time before issues are resolvedAs the primary role models of the child, self-care is a must for parents. "Your children need a role model who knows how to find joyful connection with himself and the world.” When you show your enthusiasm in doing activities that you love, such as playing the guitar or going to the museum, it will spill over. For instance, in the 2nd chapter of the communist manifesto, Marx goes into detail about his theory and its perspective on property. He says that he isn't against private property and its ownership generally, but that his theory is specifically against *bourgeois* property. This motivated Lenin's entire concept of property right in the soviet union. None of this is explained in this book, and that's a mistake. One of the kibbutzniks admitted: “People like me who started as socialists concluded that you can work hard and get nothing while others don't work hard. It's so unfair.” And this simple deduction had to take a whole life-span to be learned! Well, doesn't it look like 2 plus 2 to you? “Those who leave [the kibbutz] are often the most economically productive.” Wow, that's some deep, deep, thinking.

Divine light reaches the heart as well as the head. The beams of divine light shining in upon the soul through the glorious face of Christ are very working; they warm the heart, they affect the heart, they new mold the heart. Divine knowledge masters the heart, it guides the heart, it governs the heart, it sustains the heart, it relieves the heart. Knowledge which swims in the head only, and sinks not down into the heart, does no more good than the unicorn's horn in the unicorn's head. Chapter 6 -- which takes more than its fair share of space, almost half of the book -- is an extended detour from the point of the book, but it still serves to support the theme. He begins by saying, "In the previous chapter, you saw the seven choice things which accompany salvation. But for your further and fuller edification, satisfaction, confirmation, and consolation, it will be very necessary that I show you," these seven choice things. Which are: (1.) What knowledge that is, which accompanies salvation. Persecution brings death in one hand and life in the other; for while it kills the body it crowns the soul."The author emphasizes throughout the book to look inward and reflect through writing on a journal thoughts, ideas, and questions. Self-awareness is a noted quality a parent must develop.
