The well-paced plot is intriguing & full of unexpected situations. There are good scene descriptions & world building. He’s been in love with Elaine since the first day he met her. Everything he does is for their future. He loves her with his heart and soul.

Grier has a hard time really coming clean about his wants and desires for Fiona because of what Max had been stern about in the past. Despite the demands by Max changing 180, Grier denies himself so much that when he and Fi finally are with each other, neither of them seem to know what is happening between them emotionally. It’s like they feel the same but feel like they aren’t showing it. Either way, I’m so ready for book 5.
