And with chipboard I would always suggest that the end grain should be sealed as well as it is a natural sponge when it comes to any water based product. Really not enjoying this muggy weather at the moment - my Liverpool (this could cause some discussion/arguments. If you used one of the water-resistant types as in Titebond 2 or 3 to prime, that may work for your job. So yeah, anyway lol, would sealing the wood with PVA stop the board from warping when adding water for ballasting? When I did the module recently I used 'quite a lot' of water pre-wetting before applying pva to the ballast and I got no water penetration at all where the ply had been treated with neat pva (which is more than can be said for the softwood roadbed which had not been treated).

Moreover, as I explained above, PVA is not entirely waterproof, so don’t use it as a sealer in humid conditions. From past experience with this material, any moisture/wetness makes it swell up and crumble to pieces. If you're an Easyjet passenger who was issued a voucher during the Covid-19 pandemic, you've less than one week left to use it before it expires on 31 January 2024. We have had a leak in the kitchen and the insurance company says the entire floating floor needs replacing. Festool offer a PU adhesive puck for the Conturo, so I'm sure it is available in other formats to suit other types of edgebander. This is because the sealant penetrates the particle board to make it durable and harder to penetrate.

That stuff never seats as hard as the other methods and might cause the problem you are concerned about. Suitable for: Aluminium, Ferrous metals, Galvanised metal, New iron, New steel Need help or supplies?

I could understand if they was just 4 legs in each corner because then there is lots of empty space underneath where the board can sag but because mine is completely solid underneath surely these battens would be enough - I have asked me dad and he thinks they should be fine.
