One has to be careful when reading this book, when trying to perceive the information that is being shared. I thought I knew a lot about the history of Israel, but this book helped me realize how little I really know. Bibi Netanyahu is the longest serving Prime Minister of Israel (15 years) and is the first Prime Minister to be born in Israel after the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948.

The brothers joined an elite special forces outfit of the Israeli Defense Forces known as “the Unit. Netanyahu gives colorful, detailed, and revealing accounts of his often turbulent relationships and negotiations with Presidents Clinton, Obama, and Trump. She hasn't left the village since a traumatic stay in London as a young woman at the end of the 1980s. As always the consummate diplomat, he was very respectful of the differences he shared with Obama on policy. Then there is Benjamin Netanyahu’s autobiography, which is not a politician’s autobiography at all, but an adventure story dressed up as one.

However, it is better to have them and be able to reference them than to not have them and have an incomplete picture.First, I am shocked at the level of influence Bibi has had on the evolution and development of modern Israel. Born in the wake of the Holocaust at the dawn of Israel’s independence and raised in a family with a prominent Zionist history, they understood that the Jewish state was a hard-won and still precarious gift. He clearly glosses over some glaringly blatant controversies throughout his entire career like he's affair with Fleur Cates and him cheating on Sarah in the 90s with his makeup artist. The passion of Netanyahu’s memoir, his family, his life, his career, is love for the Jewish people and the land of Israel, in a word, Zionism. It is an interesting life narrative as well as historical narrative of Israel's rise on the world's stage.

Chapter 63: COVID 2019-2012, where many have strong reservations about his decisions to pursue full vaccination herd immunity, was revelatory of Mr.In some places the book felt like Netanyahu’s attempt to take down all of his haters, rather than give an honest assessment of what worked and what didn’t. What I worry about most is, there is a war right now of ideas, more than any hot war, and it is between Putinism – which, by the way, is subscribed to, at some level, by Erdogan or Netanyahu or Duterte and Trump – and a vision of a liberal market-based democracy.
