I was fortunate enough to obtain a free sample of this wonderful fragrance this passed Saturday and chose it as my scent of the day today. We were at Penhaligons and of course Bergdorf Goodman could not be missing. But in the end I flew home without new perfume! None that I wanted to afford laughed at me that hard. It was great to test everything, so I thought I would get that at home too. Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Glycerin Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Polyquaternium-7, Tetrasodium Glutamate, Diacetate, Parfum

So now it was clear, I must have it - also as a reminder, as it looks like USA travel will not be possible as soon as possible... Such a soft, delicate fragrance at the same time, you can clearly feel the oud note (which is present in the top note and always resonates nicely until the end) and the durability is also enormous, has really impressed me very much! Madagascar vanilla that is slightly smoky, definitely not a cheap drugstore vanilla with a subliminal musk and rose - I am in fragrance heaven! But Rosewood didn't let go of me, I couldn't stop thinking about that fine fragrance. It is not mega unique but I have never met anything comparable.

Listed as unisex, I find it rather feminine but I can imagine that men can also smell fantastic with it :) For the Hand & Body Wash: How awesome is this? You can shower in your favourite scent before applying it to your body. There will no longer be a clash between the fragrance of your shower and the scent you apply. A luxurious lathering hand and body wash that is paraben free. Suitable for vegan and vegetarians and cruelty free. I don't normally blind-buy perfume, but I ran into a large bottle of this at Marshalls, and after reading the notes here I decided to buy it. And I'm glad I did! The opening is a slightly sharp but bright bergamot blast, which to me is just fine since that's one of my favorite notes. The dry down mellows it with vanilla and Amber, with the rosewood-ish note lingering underneath. It also has a nice powdery tone to it that spreads and softens as it stays on the skin. All in all, it's a pretty fragrance. Not terribly original - and I couldn't detect a real rosewood scent- but it's still very pleasant. I'll enjoy wearing it. I loved the smell of Bronze, but was unable to pull it off because of the tartness of the lemonade accord. I do envy those who can make tart citruses work. You will receive a 100ml pot which holds around 70g of fragrance dust, which will give between 30-40 hours of burning time.

OR opens with a warm raspberry, a rather acidic quince and lots and lots of animalic funk. At some times it smells more of leather than even LO does. This opening slowly subsides and leaves a strong, woody and leathery dry down without end.Long story short,Rosewood is a heavenly, smooth, cozy, comforting, ageless beauty in my book. it's wearable anywhere, anytime though I prefer it's cuddly, delightful, warm sweetness in cooler days and nights.it's a very difficult to find perfume where I live so I feel like I am the only proud owner of this beauty. Rosewood is a generic term to designate different species of wood, as much used in perfumery as in cabinet making. Rosewood is known in botany under different Latin names, depending on the region of origin. It is found on the island of Madagascar, in Burma or in eastern India. But it is from Brazil and Guyana that it originates. Indeed, this fragrant tree likes to grow in tropical forests with a hot and humid climate. From the Lauraceae family, the rosewood produces small yellowish flowers which are not really fragrant. Its colorful name comes from its bark, recognizable by its pinkish veins and the unique floral scent it gives off. From discovery to regulation The official scent pyramid lists only three notes of amber, tea and citrus. I also detect a hint of musk and sandalwood. The composition overall is well-blended and easy to wear. The projection is moderate to soft, however, the longevity is surprisingly decent lasting approximately seven hours on my skin.

It seem to be more of a colder weather scent, but I wonder if it would work in a warmer weather, specially in the night time.Brazilian Rosewood. I must admit the notes here have me perplexed. I might be the only one, but I get a Brazilian Rosewood from this scent: dusty rose, soapy woods, powdery sweetness. The dusty rose colour of the juice and the name accurately represent the scent imho. Admittedly my bottle is from somewhere between 2006-08, but it still smells the same to me today as when I got it. The Brazilian Rosewood accord has reminders for me of other scents with Brazilian Rosewood: Organza Indecence Givenchy, Presence d'une Femme Montblanc & Midnight Fleur Nest. Has above average performance for year round wear. I own quite a few Banana Republic fragrances as I find them very pleasing and inexpensive. They're not the most unique scents, but they do offer a variety of wearable, signature-worthy fragrances for the modern woman.

it smells different than any of leather oud, oud ispahan, santal noir, and purple oud. its not a version of any of these fragrances whatsoever. if there are some similarities during the progression of Oud Rosewood to any of those fragrances it is less than 10% similarity , even 5%. its to be expected due to some shared ingredients and being from the same house. the raspberry and quince jam are there to provide just some sweetness and tartness. they are not dominant at all. It was paradise, my husband was extremely patient and went everywhere with me - I think he even liked it a little bit... performance is very good / slightly above average. i was able to detect it on my arm close to the skin in the morning 14 hours after application. projection was very good also. not as strong as oud ispahan. Raspberry - I get a touch of sweetness in this that must be the raspberry note. I don’t find this note to be a very authentic raspberry, but it’s the same type of sweetness you find in Tuscan Leather.Ingredients: Aqua, Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Polysorbate 20, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Carbomer, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum This is a pretty good scent with good performance. From their lineup, I can't stand more than half the scents. This one though, and I'm smelling it right now, is growing on me. Kind of barbershop on the dry down. And I don't mean it smells like brut, i mean it smells like powder and creamy shaving soap with a touch of spice. Dang I thought the cardamom went away, but it's still there. That must be the "medicinal" note people are talking about. I love the rich amber color, representing the twilight desert, inside the jar made with French glass. As for the projection, it is a fragrance of low trace and high comfort. It exudes to the wearer and draws attention to who is close enough to feel it. It has high durability. Also, if you don't know what you're smelling how can you critique a scent? Did anyone ever smell Palisander Rosewood? I haven't. Guilty. NO idea what it lends to this overall concoction.
