Enjoyed the film alot more than when i first saw it decades ago, and the Deluxe packaging, with its steelbook and all the other physical extras, really make this, literally, a heavyweight release. Though its initial reception ensured that Lynch largely eschewed mainstream filmmaking for the rest of his career, Dune has since been rightly re-evaluated as one of the most startlingly original and visionary science fiction films of the 1980s.

I personally love the film, many think otherwise but it is an extraordinary production in so many ways. I can't believe that this movie was a flop when it was released, it's one of my all time favourite movies I must have seen it at least 50 times and now it looks even better on 4K in another awesome release from zavvi. Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people.

Unfortunately this is far from the definitive collectors edition, as it does not include the alternative TV version or the Spicediver fan edit (all known footage spliced together). Box set itself is cool - although I think I prefer the yellow worm cover on the other arrow edition.
