Jeff: Every time I put this shoe on I kept hearing Sonny and Cher’s “I Got You Babe” as I was having Groundhog Day-esque flashbacks to the Brooks Glycerin 18. The cushion will lead you to feel good and the stability will keep you under control as fatigue sits in. The upper is well designed, the outsole is fantastic, and the midsole works well - just be sure that you are in the demographic. I wish for a more seamless overall feel to the midsole and support from the rails that is less noticed and constraining.

It isn’t overly soft, it wouldn’t be described by anyone as firm, but it isn’t mushy, and feels pretty good during 11 minutes miles or 8 minute miles. Changes that are mostly focused on the aesthetic section and that seek to improve the running experience.I am used to running in more minimalist-type shoes, so I was a little nervous about the Brooks Transcend 7. And still, another had a more succinct reaction to the Transcend’s midsole: “The cushioning was the BOMB! Let’s begin with the fact I have never run in a version of the Brooks Transcend, so I had no idea what to expect, except for no medial post (which I greatly appreciate).

We're talking about the runner that makes contact on the entry point and as they transition through to midstance, there might be a little bit of bias towards that medial side, resulting in mild overpronation as you get ready to come out of your gait cycle. Let's touch on the difference between the Brooks Glycerin GTS 19 and the Brooks Transcend 7 midsoles. Brooks’s Transcend may always fall second in cushioning to the Glycerin (an intentional setback, since the Glycerin, according to Brooks, will always be number one when it comes to plushness), but regardless of its status, the shoe’s soft platform had us lacing it up for long runs. When you feel like your lightweight trainers and long runs are, in one runner’s words, “tearing apart my body,” the Transcend just may be that missing link in your shoe cycle.

A new update that bets on some of the most cutting-edge technologies of the American firm such as the DNA Loft midsole. You have GuideRails in the Glycerin GTS 19 and you have a neutral support system in the Glycerin 19. The geometry of the midsole works even as a midfoot striker, and I believe heel strikers will enjoy them even more. It was difficult to change gears quickly on the run, and the consensus was that the Transcend did better on easy and long runs instead of shorter ones where a firmer feel underfoot can be helpful.

The GuideRails concept is to not "outsmart" the foot at the arch and underfoot but to guide motion at the calcaneal bone using Guide Rails on both sides at the rear and mid foot wrapping from near the top of the midsole under foot then up the side of the upper. v=1653860894","variant_ids":[36881106534553,36881106567321,36881106600089,36881106632857,36881106665625,36881106698393,36881106731161]},"available":false,"name":"Brooks Transcend 7 (Women's) - Black\/Ebony\/Blue Bird - 7. This new version presents a more modern and updated look without sacrificing the comfort and breathability that characterize it. Jeff: DNA Loft EVA from Brooks is one of the best EVA midsole materials on the market in my opinion, and it works well here. the Brooks Transcend 7 offers solid support but it is a bit heavier compared to most support shoes (weigh 10.Without further ado, let's get into the analysis of the main features of the new Brooks Transcend 7. Very slight tweaks to the upper, no changes to the outsole, and subtle, but important shifts in the midsole set it apart from its slightly lighter brother. We've shifted our focus beyond the feet to the most injury-prone part of a runner's body: the knees.

I’m going to compare it to the Glycerin 19 which is a neutral shoe that has nothing changed from the medial side to the lateral side. Those needing more support could opt for the Adrenaline with its firmer BioMoGo DNA midsole with DNA Loft heel insert. This women's running shoe combines our softest cushioning with our GuideRails® support system, ensuring every stride is sublime. One flat-footed tester, who is also an overpronator, even ran sans insoles; the Transcend’s stability system and cushioned platform gave her all the support she needed. It is known for being a tank of a shoe, but Brooks has recently taken out that hard piece of posting and placed a guide rail instead. Like I said earlier, this is a lot of shoe, and that is a positive or a negative depending on who you ask. This men's running shoe combines our softest cushioning with our GuideRails® support system, ensuring every step is sublime.
