Water storage – The water tank of a Nanopresso can hold up to 2.70oz of water. Because boiling water is added into the device to make the coffee, there is a chance of it burning your hand. To protect against this, the water tank and cup are both covered with a heatsink pattern so that it absorbs the heat rapidly.

Anyone who has owned an automatic home espresso machine knows the pressure quality can deteriorate dramatically overtime; making your espresso taste watery and weak. When you’re looking for a travel-friendly espresso machine, the Minipresso does the job well. It’s portable, lightweight, and easy to use. In our opinion, the Minipresso is a well-designed espresso maker, and the quality of the espresso it brews is excellent as well. This machine can brew multiple coffee blends, and best of all; the espresso has an intense, robust flavor with an impressive crema in the end.

Second, grinding your grounds means you have more control over the size, which is extremely important as you’ll be able to tell.

After a few attempts, we were achieving gorgeously smooth, rich cremas with every shot, thanks to those 18 bars of pressure forcing hot water through the coffee grinds. Simon. I received the Nanopresso and I’m impressed, just as you are. If anything, it may be working ‘too well’. I’ll explain: Water storage – It can store less water than a Nanopresso but can still hold 2.35oz. After pushing a few times, the water is injected into the coffee adaptor and optimal extraction pressure is achieved, giving you rich and bold espresso. Both the Nanopresso and the Minipresso produce great coffee. The pressure that the Nanopresso reaches is greater than the Minipresso, thus producing more coffee compared to the Minipresso. It’s also easy to be consistent with the Picopresso. It’s a bit more forgiving when it comes to grind size and the pressure you need to exert due to its pump design. On a good day, I will even say that the shots can be compared to the Flair Classic. If the portafilter head is not screwed on tightly enough, there will be spaces and air where you don’t want them, allowing the extracted espresso to seep into places it’s not intended to. If it is screwed on tightly, and you’re still having this issue, remeasure the number of grounds you’re using in your coffee filter basket – you may have overweighed your grounds. (Remember: 8 grams of fine grounds is your ideal amount.) While buying your grounds pre-ground means you’ve already achieved this perfectly fine grind, it is something we never recommend. As the espresso connoisseur you’re on your way to being, we recommend grinding your coffee beans fresh for a few reasons.

Compact, light and very easy to use, the Nanopresso is an elegant option to carry with you while travelling. Most importantly, it creates a surprisingly authentic and flavourful espresso, especially combined with a portable coffee grinder, fresh beans and the Barista Kit upgrade. Many speciality coffee lovers drink their coffee as espresso. Of course, to make great espresso, you need a great espresso machine. This type of equipment may be available at home, at the office or at a café, but on the road, an espresso machine is pretty impractical! With the Nanopresso, Wacaco has finally given espresso-lovers a great way to enjoy their beloved beverage while out and about. Pressurized head – The Nanopresso has a pressured head which helps to improve the extraction process and helps with consistency, so you have the same tasting coffee on each try. Even if a less finely ground coffee is used, the head helps to brew it without needing to learn the subtleties of espresso brewing. It can also be used as an authentic espresso machine, even if the auto pressure is turned off. I’m impressed that the Wacaco Picopresso can produce such high-quality espresso even though it’s so tiny and innocent looking.

Wacaco NanoPresso Features

It has a hand pump extraction that uses ground coffee or capsules, has eight bars of pressure, and comes with a one-year warranty. It’s easy to use once you’ve gotten the hang of it, but pumping can be problematic in the beginning. GET THE BEST FROM IT] No battery/electricity need. Manual operation only! Experience the pleasure of drinking high quality espresso, from the first sip to the last drop, wherever you are. All you need for your next shot is ground coffee, hot water and the Nanopresso machine. The Wacaco Nanopresso is a bit of a beast, even thought it’s pretty small, light and sleek. If you’re an outdoorsy person and you need a VERY good espresso on the run, then this could be the machine for you. Power used – The Nanopresso uses 15% less power to push the pumping knob than all other models. The pressure required is 261 psi, which is equivalent to a force equal to 13 kg. For ease of use, it is recommended that the Nanopresso be held with two hands. Hello, I'm a coffeeholic - and no, I'm not ready to go to Caffiene Anonymous yet. I've been a barista for more than 5 years now, and giving up my delicious coffee during travel for an overpriced cup at a major chain finally gave me the push to get this machine. This works wonderfully and produces a quality shot of espresso with lots of crema and comparable flavor to my at-home Breville espresso bar! It's even smaller than a coffee mug, so very travel-friendly, and worth the investment!
