As part of Felix’s continuing story of friendship, I wanted to include an example of something I find truly remarkable. This book is only 182 pages (which translates to only 3 and a half hours of listening) so it’s a very short, so when it ended I was craving to know what happened next, I needed to find out the ending to Felix’s story. Changes similar to those in the British edition in the 1980s were made to the German novel in 2003, [n 1] after 2002 protests in Hanover against a stage version using the old title. There's more of a dark undercurrent to this story, however, and the ending made me spin the audiobook back and forth a few times to see if I'd heard correctly. Christie herself changed the bleak ending to a more palatable one for theatre audiences when she adapted the novel for the stage in 1943. The manner of deaths appear to correspond with the rhyme, with one of the figurines being removed for each successive death. There are twists and turns like a roller coaster and some of the best literature is displayed in this book, it should of won so many more prizes. At home, Genia reprimands Zelda for misbehaving because she drew attention to herself and endangered them all.I thought it would be interesting if the young characters doing the love and friendship in the story were surrounded by people doing the opposite. Both stories involve a series of murders on an island during a storm intended to be unsolvable murders where everyone on the island dies. Felix explains the situation, and when he sees that Zelda left her locket behind, he rushes to town to give it to her. You know how when you and two friends jump off a train that’s going to a Nazi death camp and you nearly knock yourself unconscious but you manage not to and your glasses don’t even get broken but your friend Chaya isn’t so lucky and she gets killed so you bury her under some ferns and wild flowers which takes a lot of strength and you haven’t got much energy left for running and climbing? I wish that in the book Felix and Zelda were related and that they burly found each other in this book because it would have added more intense to the book and made it more interesting.

the first book of this series is once the second is then the third is after and NOW is forth this series is so moving and heart rending. His life was one of the most inspiring examples I’d come across of the best surrounded by the worst. It's strange how she seems so grown up and honestly, I thought she was the same age as Felix until said.
