Maybe my past chronic alcohol use, my IBS has a role in it, I have my ups and downs, but I just can’t handle the stress of my memory anymore, and I am only 33.

Diabetic lactic acidosis – 100mg/day IV for 7 days resolution in symptoms, followed by 75mg indefinitely (2008) Thiamega provides a high dosage of vitamin B1 in four different forms, each possessing unique properties. I am experiencing an electrolyte imbalance (low phosphorus and potassium) after a period of fasting during Lent. I began eating normally again and experienced what I originally thought was Refeeding Syndrome. I had been diagnosed with this in the past and like this time, despite treatment and supplementing with up to 3,000 mg of Phosphorus and 160 mEq of Potassium, my blood levels are still low. Thiamine {tetrahydrofurfury disulfide (TTFD/ allithiamine), on the other-hand has been shown to increase B1 in brain cells and I felt the difference in one 50mg dose. The TFD component which is shed when entering your cells does require methylation, but I take way more than 50mg of methyl donors. So, I ask: How is the HCL component you take disposed of? I am not a doctor: It’s probably just a little additional stomach acid. Most processed foods are fortified with B1 (which is most likely hcl which doesn't easily cross the BBB ), with the raise of neurological diseases, maybe it should be as TTDF. Beriberi neuropathy and shoshin beriberi that developed 6 years after gastrectomy on the cardia side – 100mg TTFD longterm (2013) For me (everybody may require a different dose) and please consult your doctor and do your research. 🥵

I was diagnosed with Parkinsonism when I went to the ER due to Vertigo (I was rolling my fingers and it was very uncomfortable for me to stop it). I have not notice doing this since starting TTDF. Yesterday, I notice while wearing a fairly new pair of shoes a little vertigo (they are now in the trash). But maybe eating lots of inulin wasn’t the best idea? It’s got carbs, so perhaps the bacteria fed off it too? cases of sudden-onset deafness was treated with 150mg TTFD orally, with most therapeutic effect seen after 2-3 months of treatment

Weight and diet were measured regularly for the four groups allocated as vehicle, TTF D-1X, TTFD-2X, and TTFD-5X. All the data are represented as mean ± SEM and analyzed by one-way ANOVA. Urinary Issues: I was on (MIRABEGRON 25MG SA TAB) because of problems of holding it, but I have had major dry mouth problems and quit because that was listed as a possible side effect. subjects without nutritional deficiency, 20 cases of alcoholism, and 48 cases of alcoholism with signs of deficiency and/or liver disease were given either TTFD, Thiamine propyldisulfide (a similar disulfide derivative), or thiamine HCL. T hey showed no toxic effects at 3-6 months in any group, and demonstrated that oral TTFD/TPD increased whole blood, erythrocyte, and cerebrospinal fluid thiamine levels at an equivalent level to intravenous thiamine HCL. c) Insect repellant: I have read that B1 repels mosquitoes (I will try to find a reference), all I can say, I was taking 200mg of (B1) HCL and it never helped me and mosquitoes now hate me. Dap1949 has indicated what she takes helps. I suffered a disc rupture (L5/s1) needing surgery 27.12.17 as it had sequestered. Ouch!! Pain relief was instant but I didn’t make a good recovery with on going burning stinging nerve pain. I used to be a heavy weekend drinker, have had high stress jobs (sister in a NICU in the UK) and life stress losing both parents before they aged 70, mum to breast cancer aged 62 and dad to general ill health resulting in an above knee amputation. In the 8 year period they passed I also had a baby. I am wondering if there’s a genetic component to my probable thiamine deficiency? But the b12 was the only thing that made me feel any better, even though the constant state of apathy I lived in. I had no energy and no strength whatsoever. I have been trying to build up my Mg for a year. I take B6 with it. I am getting the multivitamin, and I get around 200mg B1 salts?a day. I have taken Benfotiamine from time to time but I tend to return to commonly available B1. TTFD is not toxic at therapeutic doses. This is support by in vitro, animal, and human studies. The molecule has been in use for over half a century and is used extensively in medical practice in Eastern countries. No safety concerns or claims of toxicity have been raised, apart from those made by Cutler. None. Unless you are deficient in thiamine, TTFD will almost certainly do more harm than good. Even if you are deficient in vitamin B1, there are much better supplemental forms. It’s a presumptive diagnosis at best because I didn’t have symptoms at onset that are typical of WE.

I have been self-treating chronic health issues for a long time and have made great progress thanks to internet podcasts, groups, videos and blogs. I now have what feels like the one last hurdle and I'm hoping B1 is the missing piece.Personally, I am taking 50 mg of TTFD and 100 mg of sulbutiamine daily (as well as 150 mg of benfotiamine and 500 mg of thiamine hydrochloride). However, that doesn’t mean that would be right for you. Would upping the dose orally on Allthiamine theoretically compensate for any alcohol induced issues? Vocal Symptoms: I have always stuttered and stumbled on my words (I do feel more confident and I am more talkative). Since everyone including the MD’s are confused by the administration of oral b1 , I was wondering if you did consultations over the phone which I’d, of course, be happy to pay for, and if you didn’t if you could refer me to someone you trusted on this issue that did? I am at a loss on how to proceed with no proper guidance. I’m wondering if you’ve ever seen anyone who had symptoms like mine and if this can all just be chalked up to a b1 deficiency. That maybe I’ll be able to eat something other than meat in the future.
