For a long time, even the best noodle golf balls were considered to be very much a low-end ‘budget’ ball. They were produced by MaxFli and, as a result, shared some of its reputation, namely for being affordable and towards the lower end of the scale in terms of performance and quality. Out come the Noodles. No need to waste two more sleeves of ProV1s when I can practically get an entire box of these for the cost of one sleeve. But I felt like the ball compressed well, and I didn’t feel like I lost any distance using it. In fact, I felt like the ball really lived up to its name: long and soft. When it is cold outside, a golf ball (and other objects) stiffen up. If you play a lot of early morning golf, then asofter ballwith a lower compression value is preferred. Altitude Taylorma… Sorry, Noodle’s flagship ball has always been the Noodle Long and Soft. This ball was ideal for those players with slower swings who wanted all of the benefits of a distance ball without sacrificing too much feel. And it appeared to work.

Maintaining your Noodle golf balls is crucial to ensure their longevity and continued optimal performance on the course. Here are some tips to help you take care of your Noodle golf balls: Curious to know what your expected distance will be depending on your swing speed? A chart of typical ball distance vs swing speed is: Swing Speed Let’s start with the good news. None of the balls in our Noodle Long and Soft sample failed our roundness standard. It’s also notable that the Long and Soft is among the smallest ionomer balls in the database. That’s not particularly surprising, given that TaylorMade typically makes a smaller golf ball.Below is a complete golf ball compression chart for every golf ball currently available to buy in 2023. Make note of the compression rating; then, we’ll teach you how to match up the right golf ball for your swing speed. Golf Ball Compression Charts Bridgestone Golf Ball The Iothane cover is particularly worthy of note. This gives the ball a slightly softer feel. It is also super durable, leading to reduced abrasions and scuffs during your round. I felt the Ultra Soft Compression Core stole the show, producing the best qualities of the Noodle Long and Soft. Thanks to its softness, I could boost compression on all shots, resulting in consistent ball velocity and low spin. Noodle balls are low compression. As a result, they aren’t as tightly ‘wound’. The upshot is that they compress more readily on the clubface, adding distance. They aren’t particularly suited to those with faster swings as the ball will spin more and be much more difficult to control.

As I expected, the Noodle distance ball was hard off the face and on my teeth when I did the classic bite test. It was also hard off the clubface, one of my least favorite aspects of the Long and Soft. The Long and Soft range is a 2-piece design that contains an Ultra Soft Compression Core and a sturdy ionomer cover. The 34 compression core was a breeze to strike and I found it enhanced energy transfer of high-impact shots helping the ball rebound rapidly off the clubface. I was satisfied with the cost of a dozen Noodle Long and Soft golf balls, which were less than half the price of a box of Titleist Pro V1 golf balls. A golf ball with a low compressionwill compress morewhen hit, assisting the golfer in transferring energy. A golf ball with high compressionwillrequire more swing speed tocompress. Compression value is the same as hardness value if it helps to think of it that way.

It is a fallacy that Noodle balls aren’t legal to play with. They are 100% legal for use in tournaments and competitions. You won’t see them used on tour because the compression doesn’t suit the swings of the true professionals. Furthermore, more premium balls are out there that are far more appropriate for ‘true players’. Final Thoughts Improved Control: The design and construction of Noodle golf balls afford players improved control, lending accuracy and consistency to each shot.

But the reality is, my game is far from consistent. When I’m playing really well, I benefit from the added feel, spin, and control from tour-level balls. You might be new to Noodle Golf balls. Here are some of the things I am most commonly asked: – Are Noodle Golf Balls Expensive? My takeaway is the Noodle Long and Soft (The Noodz) offers respectable quality given its affordable price. If what we found from our samples is representative of the market as a whole, you may experience some inconsistency between boxes. But if you are a non-competitive golfer who doesn’t have problems with the Noodz’s inherent Meatloaf paradigm (“don’t be sad, two out of three ain’t bad”), by all means, go out and enjoy your round with this modern classic. The Good

Lake and Practice golf balls tend to be recycled, refurbished and reused golf balls. Lake golf balls are formed by recycling used premium golf balls which divers have retrieved from depths of waters. Although these are therefore not brand new, they play very similar to premium golf balls and are found at a fraction of the price. Practice golf balls have similar specifics to lake balls but ideally, they are designed for practice. Like most driving ranges, practice balls are designed to last for as long as possible but only go around 80% of an average golf ball’s distance. TaylorMade Noodle Long and Soft golf balls are traditional Noodle golf balls aimed at golfers with a swing speed between 80 mph and 90 mph. It comes with a durable high-quality Iothane cover with 342 dimples designed for an increased spin around the greens. The True Price will always be equal to or greater than the retail price. The greater the difference between the retail price and the True Price, the more you should be concerned about the quality of the ball.Noodle golf balls also boast other features that enhance their appeal to golfers. For one, their robust durability means they can withstand multiple rounds of golf, making them a cost-effective option for frequent players. The high-quality ethane cover resists cuts and abrasions, ensuring the ball retains its optimal performance characteristics for longer.
