I have had to fix the ladder leading to the hen house three times, as the hardware hooks are not sturdy and pulled out of the wood. I live in an area with a mild winter and a decent amount of rain throughout the year, so perhaps this coop is not suitable for wet climates??There are many popular products available with Cuprinol and Ronseal amongst the better-known brands. If you are looking for a clear wood preserver that will keep the colour of your coop then try this. The handle to open and close the pop hole door has had to be repaired, as one of the screws attached to the door came loose and fell out.
