When I did apply Waxoyl I thinned it with 20% white spirit, immersed it in hot water or left in the sun and applied on a warm day. And the spent weeks cleaning up under the car. Also i have no idea where to start, im not expecting any thing bad under there but i want to do a good job. Morris Minor box sections rot inside . You need a penetrating type of preservative. Waxoyl is no good.. I have had rusting under waxoyl .. even on external seam welds.. I'm sure lots of you guys have done this job at some time in the past & I want to know from experience what is the best & most economical method of application. I am thinking about buying this, and then getting a professional to apply using their equipment, etc.

I think you can do just as good a job as the pro's but it is horrible filthy and a lengthy process to get in all the seams, holes, doors bonnet boot etc and box sections. More recently, I've used motor oil, thinned with diesel or kerosene to the point where it can be sprayed with one of those cheapo trigger-action hand sprayers, though a proper cavity sprayer would probably be better.

I assume you want cavity wax injecting into the panels, sills, etc, as well as Waxoyl underseal on the underside and in wheel arches? This is the sort of thing the specialists will do for you.
