By using LibraryThing you acknowledge that you have read and understand our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Just to celebrate the festive season I have discovered one of the books already listed is partially set in the remote British Overseas Territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, deep in the middle of the big 'Atlantic Nowhere' and the first crime fiction book I have found set there. From the Kennedy assasinations to 911 to Satanism, pedophilia and psychologic phenomena like remote viewing and the CIA's mind-control experiments.

I am having trouble tracking down Ursula Poznanski's 'Five' and the other titles in this series as English Language editions. In the same way people tend to tell you they are going to Corsica or Réunion rather than France, Sardinia rather than Italy, The Galápagos Islands rather than Ecuador, Tahiti rather than French Polynesia or the Shetland Islands rather than Scotland (or Great Britain or even to the UK) - To my knowledge none of those qualify as 'separate territories' either.

Damian Harris-Hernandez - The Shadow Band (Bk 1 Kara Hüseyin Series - set in turn-of-the-century Ottoman Istanbul c.

Since it is primary a list for people wanting to read their way around the world rather than a geopolitical checklist I have tried to approach in terms of notable separate 'destinations' within a given area. Actually, the Bolitar books, and many of Coben's standalone novels as well, are primarily set in New Jersey. If I add it in then would I have to include the whole series, do I have others in the series on there already? This list of players includes only those players who have represented CUCC itself in first-class matches. I should add that their white counterparts don't exactly come accross as edifying members of modern society either - it's certainly not the 'Home Counties' that's for sure, which is probably a good thing!

So either take you're next jab and go to sleep, or hold back and enlighten yourself to what's really going on in plain sight. Connie Shelton - Charlie Parker Mysteries (featuring a female sleuth, not to be confused with John Connolly's Maine based male P. but I wouldn't let that put anyone off reading Hyland (or other authors) it's fiction after all and fiction is often what engages our interest in finding out more about history, cultures, geography etc. James Patterson - Womens murder Club and selected Alex Cross titles (Violets are Blue / London Bridges / Mary, Mary) / Private Private L. Thomas (real life mystery set in Paris and Saint Pierre and Miquelon) *Neither crime but two of only a handful of books I can find that include this tiny French outpost at all?
