You don’t fall for your brother’s high school sweetheart, your boss’s daughter, or your ex-wife’s best friend. Especially when they’re all the same woman."

Forever Never by Lucy Score - BingeBooks Forever Never by Lucy Score - BingeBooks

Like earlier said, Lucy Score does a fantastic job in her characterization. You will enjoy reading about the initially arranged romance between Luke and Harper. Harper, the heroine is affectionate, cheerful, kind, hardworking and courageous. Also, Luke, the male protagonist is funny, sweet, mysterious and intense. Something happened to him that he is not able to forget and that has made him not able to advance in many aspects of his life. Other characters that appear in the story include Aldo, Sophie, Gloria, Claire, Charlie, Frank, Joni, and Ty who are essential to the story. He’s intense need, love, admiration, irritation and every other explosive feeling he has for her is what kept me reading. It wasn’t any of his business. And he knew what would happen if he let himself get curious. Remi Ford was no longer his concern.

I love it when you box me in like this. When you don't give me an escape." - Doormat, erm, female leading character, sorry again. And it's not a cynical comment, she really means it. You don’t fall for your brother’s high school sweetheart, your boss’s daughter, or your ex-wife’s best friend. Especially when they’re all the same woman. You aren’t hearing me, Remi. If I got anywhere near that sweet pussy of yours, I would punish you for making me wait so damn long. I’d discipline you for wanting to leave me. You’re safer if I never touch you. And so am I.” Now, keep this under your hats because rumor has it her family doesn’t know yet,” she said, leaning in and dropping her voice to a whisper.

His reason? Because he was convinced she was just like his mother, and didn't want the small town life. Now, mind you, he never actually ASKED her what she wanted. He decided FOR her what her life should look like, and brutally, and repeatedly, rejected her for it. He repeatedly chose his own emotional safety over hers, for years. THEN they finally get together, and he dumps her... rejecting her... AGAIN.... because he still won't ask her what she wants with her life. He just assumes she is like his mother.Had he bothered straightening to his full six feet four inches and looked up from the canned goods, he would have caught that telltale flash of red. The color of forest fires and the temptations of hell. he always knew she wanted to get out of the small town and wouldn’t ever settle but he didn’t want to leave

Forever Never - Kindle edition by Score, Lucy. Romance Kindle

DAMN...These two people are combustible, even when there isn't anything happening. All they have to do is look at one another and the heat comes off the kindle. When things finally come together for them, get ready to have a man who knows what he wants and a woman willing to give him everything. Be prepared...these two are intense and very active once the barriers down. Before I do that & say anything about this book, Forever Never, let me preface the following by saying I still view Lucy Score as a very talented writer and I still have every intention of reading more of her books. Until proven otherwise, I have a feeling there’s a good possibility Forever Never is just an anomaly. Maybe I’m wrong, but it feels like she was trying something here & it just didn’t work…at least for me. I’m most certainly not trying to dissuade anyone from the rest of her books. My previous LS reads were some of the better reads I’ve had this year. I had to edit my original thoughts, I didn't even read the blurb before getting this because this is an author I sorta trusted.....but the h having once been with his brother and him having married her best friend is a little too much keeping it in the family for me. The world's a big place there must have been other options man the last time i felt anything like this was exodus by kate stewart . that says something since that book is my lifeline. Lucy Score is an instant #1 New York Times bestselling author. She grew up in a literary family who insisted that the dinner table was for reading and earned a degree in journalism.Davis spends his days gently wrestling control of the family winery from his father’s semi-retired hands. He doesn’t have time for things like dating and love. Especially since he never got over hurting his dream girl in a fog of teenage stupidity. Now, they’re neighbors… and the latest generation to carry on their families’ ridiculous, fifty-year feud.
