But the SNK809 continues to impress with its solid build that rivals far more expensive timepieces. It has nice weight to it and feels great on the wrist. The next step up would have been sapphire glass which is scratch proof rather than the scratch resistant you see in Hardlex crystal. Due to the price of sapphire glass though you only really see it on premium watches. Strap & Clasp The Seiko SNK809 features a water resistance of 30m or 3 bar if you prefer reading it that way. 30m water resistance isn’t much, but I don’t expect you’re going to go all out diving with this style of watch.If you’re like me, you can spend hours at a time browsing watch forums without a real idea of what you’re looking for. So, if you are one of these watch lovers, then I suggest that you consider this nice watch already. The watch face includes several noteworthy features. The display shows day/date while the luminescent hands show the time at nighttime. The Seiko SNK809 is also ideal for swimming but not diving. However, on closer inspection you’ll realise that the major difference is its size. The SKX013 has a smaller case that measures 38mm across and 13mm top to bottom. This makes it a full 5mm smaller in diameter than the SKX007. You might not notice this in product photos, but it's immediately obvious when you handle the SKX013 in person that this is diminutive counterpart to its bigger brother, the SKX007 If this is your first foray into automatic manuals, then there is no better place to begin than this baby.After a few days of wear, it becomes softer and more comfortable, but it’s worth looking at an affordable replacement. The good news is that the SNK809 looks great on a variety of straps, including rubber and leather watch straps. A rubber strap looks great too, and it’s very comfy. The sweeping second hand also has a red-accented tip for better visibility, and pairs beautifully with the red day complication.
