What kinds of adventures have the children already had with the Butterfly Club? Are they all inspired by true events and real figures from history? The Butterfly Club was set up to provide a safe social space for adults with disabilities throughout Lincoln and the surrounding areas. The relaunched Butterfly Club will be the first event to be hosted at The Drill since the venue’s official re-opening celebration last weekend.

I cannot believe the twists of Jacqueline Wilson putting herself into her own book. THIS WAS MARVELOUS! More please! I loved writing Harry Houdini. I think he relished a challenge, and in this book I've given him the most difficult art heist in history. The Louvre Museum was like a fortress - in fact its director actually boasted that it would be easier to steal the towers of Notre Dame than a painting from the walls of the Louvre. Overall it's very feel-good, although this is the first time I've come across the mention of iPads and Monster High in a JW book which felt strange - crossing over into the next generation of younger readers! There was also something very modern and self aware in the way the triplets' mum tries to get them to see a different perspective on Selma's fractured home life; I found this an important lesson to be incorporated into the book. The Butterfly Club is a voluntary organisation. Our aim is to provide leisure activities in a safe, fun filled environment for children and young adults with special needs, while providing respite for parents/guardians.

Can you tell us what is the Butterfly Club, and what inspired the idea? How did you choose which year to base the Butterfly Club in? Where would you travel to on the 'time train' if you were able to join the Butterfly Club, and who would you like to meet from history? Built in 1890 to accommodate military training exercises, the Grade II listed building is renowned as a thriving entertainment, arts and social hub for the wider community, with Lincoln College Group retaining and preserving the building’s original features but ushering them into the 21st century. We have a great DJ called Kieran who has learning difficulties. He makes sure it’s a proper club night, we have the bar open, it’s a great social event for everyone and we even have karaoke at the end!” Representation on relevant bodies, including the Northern Ireland Trans Forum, to give voice to the concerns of club members and the wider transgender population. Coffee house Caffè Nero has announced the 16-strong shortlist for the inaugural Nero Book Awards, recognising the outstanding books of the past 12...
