Every month we send you two miniature gins & two tonics/mixers for you to mix & taste at home! Enough to make 4 delicious Gin & Tonics, plus a recipe booklet with the perfect serves and garnishes, and info on the featured drinks. It’s a great gin and soda or gin an tonic gin as well. The citrus comes through in both. Overall, Modern Love Gin

Pour the drink into a glass and top up with soda water, garnish with a slice of lime, sprig of mint, a few fresh pomegranate seeds and a few ice cubes. To make the drink, simply add the syrup, the infused gin and the grapefruit juice into a glass filled with ice, stir and enjoy.

The Negroni

Pour 25ml of gin into each glass, then two of the cucumber slices and a wedge of lemon into each glass

London dry gin has that classic gin palate that we all know and love. It is rich, earthy, and bitter, often with touches of citrus, spice and floral tones. It is complex, to say the least. Aroma: Brightly, vibrant citrus. Pink grapefruit, lemon and key lime. Slight hints of spice and coriander hover on the fringes. Modern Love Gin is vibrant and boldly citrus led, especially on the nose. Super easy to make and delicious, there are several variations including the addition of berries crushed at the bottom of a glass but the easiest form of this is the recipe below. It’s a lovely drink that’s great at Christmas but can also be enjoyed all year round.Whether you are looking for a one-off gift like a tasting set or classic gin bottle, we also offer a gin subscription over 1,3,6 or 12 months – so your loved one can continue to receive delicious gin and tonics throughout the rest of the year! With Old Tom’s slightly sweeter palate, it can frequent those serves usually reserved for rum and whiskey.

The nose has a pleasant, punchy, juniper note. Juniper, slight hint of raspberry jam and rose. But that’s just it— the floral notes are slight, along with a slight hint or sweet orange/lemon citrus. Pleasant, and nicely balanced nose. To find out more on cherry gins, and other flavoured gins, why not also explore our Gin Club (UK delivery only), members receiving two new gins straight to their door each month, along with information around the chosen gins and complimenting mixers. Gin and Tonics are often said to be the most refreshing drink to have, though often drank throughout the year we do enjoy them a little more when in the sun or in warmer climates. This take on a classic is the Melon Gin and Tonic, is relatively fast and easy to do, you just need to make sure you have a Honeydew melon at the ready. Crush the peppercorns in a mixing bowl/large glass, then add strawberries and muddle them (crush/mash), then add all the other ingredients (excluding the Prosecco) and give it another good mix/muddle.

Tasting Notes

These are classics because they are great, loved my millions and can be easily made or bought when you’re out at bars and drinking establishments. If you’ve not tried any of these we recommend you do as these often become the go to drinks for gin lovers and non gin lovers once they are tried. Add all the ingredients excluding the soda and the garnish into a shaker and give it a dry shake (a shake without ice), shake well In a 1:1 Martini, paired with a good Dry Vermouth, Love Gin is a delightful is very wet Martini. And it has the added bonus of keeping you a touch less drunk, which is good, you know, if it’s Valentine’s day or the like. Make the vanilla bean syrup by adding all the ingredients in the above right list into a saucepan and bring to a boil, turn down the heat and let the figs breakdown for approx 5 mins, then let it cool and use a fine mesh to strain the liquid. (It makes approx 150ml of syrup, this can be stored in a fridge for up to a week) We’ve also included an apple gin in a past member’s box from 2020 – The Cornish Elements Box, which came with both Elemental Cornish Gin’s classic dry and apple gin, alongside a light and elderflower tonic from Hartridges to mix with.

In contrast, One Sage & AppleGin holds more of a wood and orange flavour to it, amongst other interesting notes, detailed as “An overall aromatic nose of fresh and candied apple, freshly cut wood and juniper, with hints of gooseberry and orange marmalade. Leads to a palate of fresh apple, orange peel and soft juniper, mixed spice and Turkish delight.”One Sage & Apple Gin is bottled at 43%, is both vegetarian and vegan, gluten free and is also certified Kosher.
