There are, however, two manufacturing issues which Philips have known about for years & do not seem to have made an effort to fix (big companies, eh?): 1) The battery lasts between two and three years, with an average use of once every 10 days; then it just gives up and refuses to take a charge. The battery cannot be replaced, so the whole unit needs to be junked. 2) The Precision Comb attachment is fragile (I have short hair and have never used the Big Comb). I broke two of them before I realised that you need to reset the length to shortest before removing the comb.
