This was extremely disruptive of the flow of the manga and also very confusing because one second Tanjiro would be fighting a demon in a town and the next second he’d be talking to his mentor back on the mountain. He was so exaggerative, it was like you could’ve added three exclamation marks to all of his sentences and it would’ve suited the tone perfectly.

The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what's going on, might provide some answers. We end on yet another battle cliffhanger, but just like before, it ends on relevancy — just as Tanjiro must slay the Hand Demon to both survive and pass the Demon Slayer Corps test, he must slay Kubutsuji’s goons for the sake of obtaining a cure. We don't see how bad he really is, yet, but passing for human and being able to turn people into demons by a scratch is pretty powerful. The narration is slightly choppy and flashbacks aren’t made apparent like normal manga (which usually incorporates a black gutter to indicate flashbacks).

I honestly love this sibling duo, and everyone’s reactions to finding a demon and a demon hunter together.

There is one thing that I really appreciate with the way Koyoharu Gotouge executes the action scenes, and that is something he masterfully shows in this volume.As usual, this manga packs a lot of action and development in a single volume, so if I keep discussing every thing this review is going to be hella long.
