It is being developed as a one-hour drama series via Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. No missing or damaged pages, no tears, possible very minimal creasing, no underlining or highlighting of text, and no writing in the margins. From its creator comes a fun debut novel that promises to be… everything you might expect from DeuxMoi. Plus, there’s a steamy new love interest who she meets through her online persona—except she has no idea if she can truly trust his motives. Observer praised the book for capturing "how celebrity gossip culture has been completely democratized by armchair commentators" and commented that the reflections throughout on the nature of internet anonymity were surprisingly thoughtful. As initially reported in May 2022, the project is currently set up at Max with a script-to-series commitment. If you follow and are a fan of IG account, Deuxmoi, I think you'll really enjoy this book and should definitely check this book out! The novel does a good job of exploring the motivations and land mines that come with running an account as popular as Deuxmoi. This new novel is a juicy rendering of the life of an assistant to a high-profile celeb stylist who decides to channel her workplace rage into something very closely resembling the real life Deuxmoi. As the account grows and becomes more and more influential, she has to wonder: is it-the fame, the insider access, the escape from real life-really worth losing everything she has? When gossip is submitted to the DeuxMoi account, submitters often request anonymity by saying "anon pls" or a variation of the phrase. It’s just a way to blow off steam after a terrible, terrible day at work where her nightmarish boss screams at her and blames her for some 18-year-old influencer’s screw-up. I’ll admit, I have been a devotee of the Deux Moi account for some time and bought this book merely out of support for my favorite content creator. I loved the little Easter eggs, trying to decipher what was real and what wasn't, and the similarities we get in this book, like Duke Dudley's story, which is based on Army Hammer's scandal, which Deuxmoi helped break the news on.But when the account grows overnight and, even wilder, when she starts getting gossip from fans and insiders — juicy gossip—she has to face facts: her Instagram is now famous.

I read straight through overnight and was so caught up in the story, I was surprised by a major plot point (that any DM fan should have seen miles away. It's just a way to blow off steam after a terrible, terrible day at work where her nightmarish boss screams at her and blames her for some 18-year-old influencer's screw-up.

Sexy, suspenseful, and so good you won’t want to put it down—not even to check on the latest stories in Deuxmoi’s feed. But when the account grows overnight and, even wilder, when she starts getting gossip from fans and insiders - juicy gossip-she has to face facts: her Instagram is now famous. For deuxmoi fans, this novel will be a solid extension of the brand's coming-of-age story, and they'll especially enjoy the inside jokes and liberal quotes from the real-life account, which helps create the tantalizing-yet-relatable tone. Though no one knows that she is behind the account, its newfound success quickly wreaks havoc on her real life. A sharp page-turner that’s utterly of-the-moment but also a timeless story of love and self-discovery.

You could easily finish in a day and definitely gives you Devil Wears Prada vibes with Cricket's horrible boss. It's just a way to blow off steam after a terrible, terrible day at work where her nightmarish boss screams at her and blames her for some 18-year-old influencer's screw-up.

Kirkus Reviews praised the authors' prose and drew comparison to other books in the autofiction genre. It’s a well written and fun Hollywood insider story, with relatable characters and a just the right amount of the naughty.
