On the rear of the handle rather than raised plastic ridges, the 3000 has a more subtle dimpled surface. The Smart 5 5000 comes supplied with a more suitable holder too. It sits on a work surface rather than needing to be attached to a wall. It is our opinion is smarter and less unsightly. You just need to pop your phone in it, which takes a couple of seconds compared to the tens of seconds with the genius brush configuration. You phone then sits in portrait or landscape orientation and shows the on-screen timer.

The Oral-B Pro 600 is missing some key features that the more expensive electric toothbrushes in the Oral-B range have. These include the sensitive cleaning mode which I find particularly useful. It also does not come with a wireless smart guide or blue tooth connectivity so will not work with the Oral-B app. The cheapest electric toothbrush that comes with Bluetooth connectivity is the Oral-B Smart 4 4000. The Oral-B Pro 600 also does not have a visible pressure sensor which I think is crucial on an electric toothbrush. The cheapest electric toothbrush that comes with a visible pressure sensor is the Oral-B Pro 2 2000. 2) Mechanism of action: Oral-B Pro 600 review 3D Oscillating rotating Place these brushes side by side and it is almost impossible to tell the difference between each of them. The key defining difference between Oral B Pro and 2500 is battery life. Whereas the Pro 600uses Nitrogen Hydride Metal battery that when fully charged can last up to 7 days or a bit less; the Oral B Pro 2 2500, on the other hand, uses lithium-ion that goes up to 2 weeks time before a need to recharge it once again Making the brush feel particularly secure in hand is the rubber grip that runs down the front of the handle. Both come with one small round brush head that employs 3D cleaning action to remove more dental plaque than the manual toothbrush

Additionally, there is a difference in the number of brushing modes, whereas the pro 2 2500 comes with 2 (daily clean and sensitive mode) compared to one that comes with pro 600 electric toothbrush. Perfecting your brushing routine, including the brushing time, technique and frequency will bring more positive benefit than any particular toothbrush. Here at Electric Teeth to try and give a benchmark for comparison, we like to price the brush over a 3 year period. It is perhaps no surprise that budget models like the Vitality series offer just 5 or so days on a single charge. Given a 3 year ownership and brush head replacement every 3 months, you are looking at only around 5p per day running cost which is extremely cheap for better oral health. This figure will only reduce if you use the Oral-B 600 for longer than 3 years. Bonus Tips to make your Oral-B Pro 600 last as long as possibleWhat always impresses me about the Pro series from Oral-B is that the design and size suit most people, from an older child right through to pensioner with limited movement in the hand. Each can normally comfortably hold, grip and use the brush. Pro 3 3000 like the pro 2 2500 uses a visible pressure sensor to alert you when brushing hard but, the pro 600 only slows down the brush head in case of brushing hard. Both do a job and give a home to brush heads, but the 9000 is a neater and more desirable solution.
