The material of magnetic lashes is an important factor to consider as it will determine how natural the falsies look as well as how durable they are. Most magnetic lashes are made out of synthetic fibers, silk, or faux mink. Silk and faux mink tend to look the most realistic, so they are a great option if you are seeking a natural look. You should also be on the lookout for lashes that are waterproof or offer resistance against wind and other elements for better hold. The one thing I really don’t get is why the call it magnetic because that’s not actually how it works. But anyway, Santhilea’s Magnetic Lash Mascara comes with two products; a mascara and a lash builder and has a simple 1-2-1 application process. First apply a coat of the Magnetic Mascara and then gently apply the lash builder, which contains lots of soft little fibers. The key is to apply the fibres evenly, concentrating on the ends. Now apply another coat of the Magnetic Mascara, smoothing and sealing the fibres using long brush strokes. Gently comb the mascara over the top rather than zig-zagging and ensure that each lash is thoroughly covered with Magnetic Mascara, to hold the fibres in place. And voila now you have long, fluttery lashes! You can repeat steps two and three as many times as you like, depending on just how long and va-va-voom you want your lashes to be.

Using the wand, I raked the mascara through my lashes, making sure I started right at my lash line. I like to apply one coat of mascara to each eye, let it set a little bit, and then go in with a second layer. When I was finished applying the mascara and inspected my lashes in the mirror, I was every bit impressed. This mascara helped me achieve my goal of having lashes that pop on camera, so it's safe to say it has won me over. The lengthening effects were clearly visible, making it appear as though I glued on a pair of fluttery faux lashes. Though there were a few small clumps on my lashes post-application, that's not a dealbreaker for me. Try to avoid putting your mascara on prior to applying the lashes. I found that magnetic eyeliner can often clump up and smudge my mascara if I were to apply it before the false magnetic eyelashes. Little tip: aim for waterproof mascara to avoid it moving throughout the day. Magnetic lashes can typically be applied one of two ways; with a magnetic eyeliner or by sandwiching your real lashes in between two strips of magnetic lashes. Both methods use magnetization to adhere the lashes and are way less messy than using typical lash glue, not to mention more gentle on the eyelid. It really comes down to personal preference and how much patience you have.
