While primarily marketed at the fighting game community, the Nacon Daija is also a superstar for your arcade games. We particularly enjoyed run-throughs of titles such as Streets of Rage 4, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge, and Metal Slug 3. Given the price tag, it’s certainly an investment, but if you want to take on the latest and greatest fighting games with superior input control than a gamepad, then we think it’s worth a shot.

Mapping the face buttons to the paddles is useful in other games, too, such as mapping weapon changes and reloads in Deathloop or Metro Exodus. There are many potential gains in freeing up your hands in games like Elden Ring which prioritize the triggers and bumpers. The Scuf Reflex Pro provides a lot of options for altering a game’s control scheme to fit your play style.

Customize the control layout of your favorite games so the commands you need are always exactly where you want them to be. Save your button configurations to your player profile and switch between them without leaving your game. There’s just no getting around the fact that the Scuf Reflex Pro’s battery life isn’t great. You’re looking at between four and eight hours, depending on usage, which is identical to the DualSense. Seeing as some PS5 controllers aimed at the Esports scene strip away core DualSense functionality and cost more than this, such as with the Razer Wolverine V2 Pro, we think this model is a good investment for those who will use it to its full potential. PIECES 50+ Designs Kawaii Moon Animals Bun Boba Skull Ghost Cat Hearts Switch | Nintendo Switch / Lite Joycon Joy Con Grips Cover Cap There's nothing better on the market than the Scuf Reflex Pro if you want to add further customization to your DualSense controller. It also features pro-level features, too.

Where the DualSense is let down by the battery life. All these extra bells and whistles come at a cost: you can expect anywhere from four to eight hours of use between charges. We often found ourselves reaching for the included USB-C cable when going the distance in longer titles such as God of War Raganrok and Ghost of Tsushima. Ultimately, though, what we have with the Scuf Reflex Pro is a modified version of the DualSense. That’s immediately noticeable in the battery life, which is no better than on Sony’s official gamepad, and it’s easily the pad’s biggest flaw. Given the added premium here, it would have been nice to have had an extra battery to work with without having to reach for the included USB-C cable. You want good value for money: With its steep asking price and worse battery life than the original, the DualSense Edge could be too expensive for some. The DualSense controller is great and all, but maybe you want to step out of the Sony bubble and try something new. That’s where the Scuf Reflex Pro comes in. This gamepad offers everything you love about Sony’s DualSense, like adaptive triggers that adjust based on the game you’re playing and a super accurate rumble. However, there are a few additional features and customizations to further improve gameplay. Just be prepared to shell out a bit more cash for this controller. If you want to take the DualSense controller to the next level without managing the customizations yourself, the HexGaming Rival gets it done. It’s a highly altered DualSense controller, coming with major aesthetic changes as well as some performance changes to give you a leg up on the competition. The final product exudes quality, but with all that greatness comes a high cost, so be prepared to shell out a good chunk of change for these mods. When you want to floor it in your favorite racing games, pulling a trigger just isn’t going to cut it, and that’s where the Thrustmaster T248 Racing Wheel comes in. This racing wheel doesn’t come cheap, but you’ll get a versatile, precise, high-performance system for your money. It offers full support for the PS5 and provides all the handy controls that line up with those displayed in the game. And setup is simple, so you’ll be hitting the pavement in no time. Keep your DualSense Edge wireless controller and its components together and organized in one spot with an included carrying case. You can even charge the controller via USB connection while it's stored in the case to make sure you're always ready for your next play session. The DualSense Edge is designed to build upon the foundations set by the standard DualSense controller while providing a more pro setup for gaming, but when it comes to deciding on which controller is better, its usually down to user experience. If you're looking for a more pro build for your controller, we'd recommend the Edge, but you'll need to prepare to pay for premium. Do I need a pro controller for PS5?

You want to retain DualSense functionality: As with other third-party PS5 controllers, you won't find adaptive triggers or rumble of any kind on the Victrix Pro BFG. Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections—they may also appear in recommendations and other places. The biggest upgrade with the DualSense Edge is in the build quality and aesthetic tweaks. It’s down to the redesigned triggers, touchpad, and slightly heavier chassis. It feels like a premium product while offering the extra functionality you should expect from a controller that’s more than double the cost of a standard DualSense. If you're a competitive gamer, such as someone who plays a lot of FPS or fighting games, then a pro controller might be worth considering despite being slightly more expensive than your standard controller. There are notable differences between pro controller, including lightweight frames and longer battery lives, which all make your gaming experience more convenient in competition. We particularly enjoyed the adjustable trigger stops, rear paddles, and function buttons which made a real difference in games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Returnal. Depending on how you play on your PS5, you’ll either notice these additions as game changers or nice extras.|Printed PlayStation 5 Controller Holder Clip, DualSense Console Mount, Controller Mount to PS5, TikTok Viral Your PlayStation 5 is a fantastic gaming machine, but it can do even more sitting at the heart of your entertainment setup. Beyond games, the PlayStation 5 offers access to a host of streaming media and even can serve as a 4K UHD Blu-Ray player (assuming you have the PS5 version with a disc drive). You can navigate all of this with the DualSense controller, but it’s not labeled for that, so the PlayStation 5 Media Remote can serve as a better comrade when you’re done gaming and just want some passive entertainment. If you want to free up those face buttons then the paddles provide an excellent way to keep your hands where it matters in competitive gaming Don't buy if... As a replacement for Sony’s DualSense, the Scuf Reflex Pro is an expensive option, especially compared to upcoming PS5 controllers. Though, none of the competition look as good.
