This is one of those stories that really grabbed my heart from the first word. I was barely 2% into the book before I had tears in my eyes. I was already completely invested in the story. I truly think that that's a sign of great writing because I mean, I didn't even know these characters yet but I already cared so much!! My heart was breaking for them and I desperately wanted to know more. the romance? way too fast. the plot? dont know where it went. the solution? rushed. the characters? not that likeable.

She wants to talk to Archer. also, gotta love a man who fixes himself and doesn't treat his girl like a therapist aww 🥰 (even though, this happens waaay at the end and wish i saw more of his time away from Bree). It was so wonderful to see Archer's trust build as their love grew. Every little act meant SO much and my heart literally ached with love for him. He’s lived there his whole life. As a kid, he faced a big tragedy. He was in a car crash where his parents died and it damaged his throat so badly he couldn’t speak anymore. He also learned a major family secret – his mom loved his uncle, not his dad, and that uncle might actually be Archer’s real dad. Now, enter Bree. She moved to Pelion after facing her own tragedy. Her deaf dad got shot in their deli, and Bree was assaulted by the shooter. She sold the deli and ran away from her hometown because of the trauma and a friend who confessed his feelings in a weird way.A soulful journey through the heart of a man, speechless & Lonely. Mia hasn't allocated even whispers to her Mute, Loner - Archer Hale but readers feel them regardless. His silence, expressions, eyes, touch our hearts like feathers falling from the sky. Love really need no language, words or tunes. And that is going to be the great joy of my life." The best part about it is that the narrative speed and path. Though it's not a huge book, Mia pays attention to character development. Nothing is rushed. She give Archer ample time to go from a shy recluse to a hesitantly confident man. The growth of their individual personalities and their love bond is slow & steady on a gradual upward incline, skipping no steps yet keeping readers spellbound. That is a genius writing technique This lesson teaches us that in any relationship, whether it’s familial, platonic, or romantic, it’s crucial to make the effort to understand the other person’s world.
