This could have been another 5 star remarkable book but I fear that Alexander Gregory may have come to the end of the line for me. There is a thread which feeds through the story that kept me completely intrigued, wondering how it tied in with what was happening. His early years’ experiences have conditioned him to believe that he cannot rely on others, his work is his be-all and end-all. The Bookseller magazine has reported on Louise having topped the ‘Most Read’ and ‘Most Sold’ fiction charts, and she has garnered an army of loyal fans who love her atmospheric and addictive storytelling.

When another woman is murdered, it is a race against time to solve the case before there are anymore victims. Alex Gregory was in Paris to give a speech when he was asked to help solve an attempted murder, and then a murder. She’s recovering well in hospital but it takes a few days for her to speak, although she seems to have lost her memory. Don’t get me wrong – I love Ryan and co and want to keep seeing them too, but Gregory is slowing worming his way into my heart and it is a series that has a lot to offer. We get to see the victims and the perpetrators in a different light and delve into what makes them tick.Other cancelled products: If you want to cancel products that are not damaged or incorrectly supplied, then you must inform us of this within seven working days following the date of receipt in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations or otherwise as soon as possible. Hysteria is a real mind-bender; it's a slick and clever mystery filled with shocks, surprises and Parisian style. Not that it bothered me too much, as I was more interested in the storyline than the Parisian sights. Hysteria is well named as it felt like my brain was being put through the wringer whilst I was reading.

Something else to note in relation to the setting, there are a couple of phrases in French that some people might have difficulty with. She studied undergraduate and postgraduate Law at King’s College, University of London and then abroad in Paris and Florence. The French comments were a 'pain' (as I'm sure they were for all the other non speaking French readers) and I skipped them by. I am a big fan of the books by LJ Ross so am absolutely loving this new series featuring Dr Alex Gregory.

As for the French text with no English explanation what was that all about come on not everyone speaks French . Book 1 was a fantastic book, but Book 2 was okay, but lacked a few things, the character development and depth of storyline that the first book had.Alex is in Paris for a conference when he is pulled into an investigation as a young woman has been brutally attacked and left for dead in a hotel room. The second in the Alex Gregory series is one that entertains but lacks the plot development or characterization of the first in the series. Murder and mystery are peppered with dark humour in this fast-paced thriller set amidst the spectacular Parisian landscape. Hysteria is book two in the Alexander Gregory series and every bit as exciting and engrossing as book one.
