Many Imperial strategists believe the Bastion Platoon to be the mainstay of the Astra Militarum fighting force. Next up are some Death Company Assault Intercessors . As far as the options for the Blood Angels in this Combat Patrol Box – well, that’s a matter of opinion. Personally, I would have liked to see Assault Intercessors instead. The inclusion of the Impulsor is fine I suppose. And Infiltrators/Incursors have some useful options that you could take advantage of. Is this an optimized selection specifically for Blood Angels? At 25 Power Level, it’s not “the best” selection but it could be a lot worse.

You’ve got a couple of options here. You could go with the 5-man box. This is nice because you do get another BA Upgrade sprue for your Death Company. However, you don’t really get any close combat weapons — at least not enough for propper Death Company unit. Oh no, we’re going to snag the Assault Intercessor Box. If you want the shoulder pads, just buy the BA Upgrades separately. It’s 200 points for 10 of them plus wargear. I’d recommend that Thunder hammer…just a suggestion though. Also, I’m curious if we’re going to see any other options for the Blood Angels in the Combat Patrol. The Space Wolves Combat Patrol allowed for players to build the new Hounds of Morkai unit as an alternative option. Perhaps we’ll see an option for an alternate Blood Angels unit, too. This is a hugely powerful buff – even basic Intercessors become a serious melee threat with it, and it’s one of the things which enables the “Slamguinius” build for a Blood Angels Captain charging into melee. Skywardens / Endrinriggers – airborne warriors buildable as gallant Skywardens or ship-repairing Endrinriggers. Blood Angels are largely the same as other Marines in Kill Team, though they do get a replica of their 40k tactic – in a turn in which they charge, charged, or heroically intervened, they get +1 to wound rolls. This is a helpful tactic, great for helping your guys to punch out your opponent’s models. They can also take hand flamers and inferno pistols.
