Introduced in 2020, Kahi is a Korean skincare company that has become one of the hottest beauty brands in Korea since they debuted. Dryness can be caused by a variety of factors: genetics, over-exfoliating, climate, diet, age, and skin conditions. Essentially, Kahi Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm is a stick balm that functions as a lip balm and moisturiser to touch up anywhere on your face, neck, hair and hands.

My Thoughts: If you’re someone who doesn’t wear much make-up or is going for that look of not wearing much make-up, this is a great product. The balm promises to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles and you can use it everywhere from your face to your neck and any other place you’re worried about. Prior to Covid, Kahi had already done all of their product testing and prepared to launch and as luck would have it, just as Covid kicked off and people were staying home, simplifying routines and forgoing make-up, Kahi kicked off. She added that emollient products like this are good for skin that’s dehydrated, particularly the lips, around the eyes, or any dry, flaky spots.The ethylhexanol in this ingredient is a fatty alcohol and helps hydrate your skin, similar to oils.

My Thoughts: The balm comes in an easy to twist-up stick format for mess-free application and easy to carry storage. The unique formula contains salmon collagen to boost skin elasticity and moisturize your complexion, as well as natural Jeju fermented oil to keep dry patches away. Though Caprylyl Glycol is an alcohol derived from fatty acids, it is not the kind that can dry out skin. Is shown to be harmful to coral reefs - consider avoiding bathing in coral reef areas when wearing a product with this ingredient. I used Kahi Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm on top of my skincare throughout the day, but found that it left a heavy feel.

Mineral UV filters, also known as physical or inorganic filters, use naturally occurring minerals such as zinc oxide or titanium dioxide to create a protective barrier on the skin that reflects and scatters UV rays. I do find the consistency slightly more watery compared to other sunscreen but for those with drier skin i do think you would prefer this!

I heard a lot of positive feedback about this product, and I was excited to try it out but sadly, like all other sunsticks, it broke me out terribly :( I do love to use it on my hands, tattoos, and shoulders while cycling or walking out in the sun all day.
