While I didn’t enjoy Terrifier 2 very much myself (you can read my 4/10 review HERE), I have been very glad to see an unrated horror movie having so much success in theatres. I’m sure the film’s success is going to continue once it’s available on streaming and physical media. It all starts when Art the Clown - think a murderous Marcel Marceau and you get the point, complete with pom poms, a crooked nose, and a small top hat - takes up his garbage bag of antique (but razor sharp!!) tools and shuffles out of the morgue, after killing everybody in it, and enters the dreamscape of our own nightmares and sets up shop - to kill and kill again - in the hometown of teenager Sienna Shaw ( Lauren LaVera) and her brother Johnathan ( Elliott Fullam). It’s been a year since the Miles County Massacre and the town is still on edge, yet they continue to eat their Crispy Clown cereal. Judging by the successful crowdfunding that Leone has undertaken for his films, there obviously is a large and appreciative audience for this kind of Since I always take his voice away, I said, ‘Hey, you want to do this little voiceover for the cereal?'” Leone recalls. If you can handle this, you can handle pretty much the rest of Terrifier 2, including various decapitations, stabbings, the odd bit of cannibalism and, on one occasion, a man being painfully separated from his penis. T https://www.digitalspy.com/mov...errifier 2 has been making waves in the US with reports of cinemagoers fainting and vomiting due to the movie. Aside from the impressive practical effects, it's so over-the-top that horror fans can probably take it as obviously fake. There's nothing here that really comes close to, say, the excruciating piano wire scene in Audition. seen either of these films, which may put me at somewhat of a loss in terms of context, though the story in Terrifier 2 is not exactly hard There has been some debate among fans as to whether Art the Clown is Sienna’s father. While he maintains a bit of mystique regarding the character, Leone seems to confirm that he is not Art. The filmmaker offers additional insight into the father:

For Art, overkill is just the start and pretty much every murder he commits in the sequel is the cinematic equivalent of The Simpsons"he's already dead" meme.

Thankfully, Terrifier 2 is now on our SCREAMBOX streaming platform, just in time for Halloween, but for those of you looking for a physical copy, we have a few variations available. Despite being digitally captured, even a brief perusal of the screenshots in both this review and the 1080 review should pretty easily reveal that this has The gore and murder scenes are insane. This is probably the most violent movie I've ever seen in a theater. It would definitely be NC-17 if the MPAA got ahold of it. No doubt. There is one murder scene in particular that goes on for an incredibly long time and is pretty painful to watch because it's so relentless, sadistic, and violent. It's both the most graphic and the most protracted kill, as the victim is scalped and flayed, while also having bones broken and salt poured into her wounds. There's no doubt it's the most objectionable and nastiest death in the movie, not least because it carries on the series' trend of saving its worst kills for its female characters. Lauren LaVera was the first and only choice for the role, as there was never a runner up. Leone notes, “I’ve never had somebody care more for a character that I wrote than Lauren did for Sienna. She was just absolutely in love with this character – we both were – and we worked so hard in fleshing her out and making her a very relatable, interesting hero.”

For those unfamiliar, The 9th Circle marked the first appearance of Art the Clown (then played by Mike Giannelli). It was later reworked to be incorporated into Leone’s 2013 horror anthology, All Hallows’ Eve. was afforded some critical umbrage for not providing much of a narrative, and while there is a story here, it's frankly more of a skeleton Art the Clown may be silent, but the man behind the face paint, David Howard Thornton, is also a voice actor and impressionist. He provides the voice-over for the Art Crispies cereal commercial during the Clown Cafe sequence.

The palette is often skewed toward blue, and HDR here can add a bit of nuance, though perhaps surprisingly this is not a horror film with huge It's also not particularly scary, although Art and his imaginary friend (it'll make sense when you see it) can be unsettling. In that regard, it's kind of funny tomay have, but of course that's what subsequent sequels are for, even if they will probably generate even more questions (for the next I’m not quite sure what makes this release a Collector’s Edition, but here are the supplemental items. Maybe it is the commentary? Something a bit similar is at hand here, and the commentary by Leone makes a few things clear, or at least clearer, for those who may have not
