Whilst this was another entertaining read, I found it slightly different from what I was expecting. Heather is an investable character, I just couldn’t help but root for her after reading the ins and outs of her wrongful conviction and subsequent 9 year stint in prison for the murder of her husband Liam. Heather’s journey from being released to trying to piece together what actually happened that horrific night all while being a mother who has been wrenched apart from her two sons for over a decade made for such a compelling story. Fast-paced and gripping, T.M. Logan has truly outdone himself with his newest masterpiece!

The Curfew: The utterly gripping Sunday Times bestselling

The novel builds well, situations escalate, discoveries are made but wherein lies the truth? I can honestly say I do NOT see that coming as the twists and turns come rapidly towards the very unexpected end. Right from the start you are gripped as we join Heather Vernon watching her own funeral and mentioning her husbands funeral. Your interest is immediately piqued wondering what could have happened. The fact that Heather is hiding and in disguise adds to the mystery. Wow , and double wow . Agree with others that this book is T.M. Logans best and it is saying something to say that as they are all edge of your seat , nail biting , fantastic reads. A decade earlier, Heather gets her children ready for bed and awaits the return of her husband Liam, little realising that this is the last night they will spend together as a family. Because tomorrow she will be accused of Liam's murder. The elements of the story set in 2013 builds the case against Heather as evidence is collected, hinting at a possible affair that she has just discovered. In the present day we follow Heather as she digs for evidence to prove her innocence, evidence that points towards conspiracy within government. It was supposed to be the perfect holiday - a group of families enjoying a week together in the sun. Four women who have been best friends for as long as they can remember making the most of a luxurious villa in the south of France.

T.M. Logan takes you an emotional rollercoaster with his latest unputdownable thriller. He just gets better and better. * Heidi Perks * A propulsive, unrelentingly compelling thriller' B. P Walter, Sunday Times bestselling author of THE DINNER GUEST I’ve not watched any of his dramas so I’m certainly going to correct this and read more of his work. Why have I never before this? I have no idea except too many books little time. Heather is married to an MP called Liam and they have two young children together. Liam comes from a wealthy family, who cut all ties with Heather when she is convicted for Liams murder. Heather swears she didn’t do it, but the evidence is overwhelming, and it’s clear she’s the culprit. Apparently.

An irresistible new thriller . . . the real triumph in The Mother is that fierce, flawed title character. She's a mother like no other' A.J. Finn, International bestselling author of The Woman in the Window In this book we meet heather who has been accused of killing her husband Liam she has been in prison and has done her time, bit she didn't commit the crime so who did?

I'd argue that this was more of a political thriller as despite Heather being the prime suspect for the murder of her husband, the popular MP Liam - having spent time in prison, she's now desperate to find out the truth. What a brilliant fast paced thriller read this is it kept me glued to my seat throughout. All the characters were well described and there were plenty of things happening to throw you off the scent, so many twists and turns. It's a good story, but I would have enjoyed it more if, throughout the investigations of the main character, to prove her innocence suspicions were cast to various individuals of her environment at the time of the murder! With the wedding date approaching fast, can Ed finally find the evidence to prove that Ryan’s been lying to them all, before it’s too late? The first chapters captured my interest right away. There was a phone call, a women's voice, a lie, and an argument. I could feel the tension building as the story progressed. A few minutes holding her baby while the mother makes an urgent call. The weight of the child in her arms making Ellen’s heart ache for what she can never have. A true single-sitting read, The Mother is the best yet from the master of the heartbreaking, heart-pounding, head-spinning thriller." - Ellery Lloyd
