It's more like catching whiffs of the bloom of a rose or it's scented petals, lacking in the citrusy greenness of the bushes and stems. To be honest, I always passed this frag without bothering to try it - a good lesson to never underestimate the "cheap" stuff. This is definitely an acquired taste, Sofia is Sofia Grojsman for good reason, she is a fabulous perfume creator. I feel like someone I knew wore this because when I got it I sprayed it on a mohair sweater hanging in my closet and I just wanted to go in and bury my face in it.

The only reason why it's kind of disappointing for me is because I sampled this hoping it would be a rose dominant frag. They were originally sold as a gift set all together along with White Diamonds or as separate eau de parfum splash bottles in fitted cases which resembled jewelry cases. This is more complex with the fruity, floral, spicy notes but shares that beautiful, warm, soft, almond note. It’s a bit too boozy for me at first, I love the peach, but then the vanilla sweetens it all too much. It's almost a boudoir fragrance: I see Liz putting on this perfume at a dresser table with vanity mirror and she goes out for the night in something red, a lady in red. It seems to have a little of everything: a ripe peach at the beginning, going into powders and spices and jasmine and lions and tigers and bears oh my (OK, not really, but it's quite the hodgepodge).

I would say that in second place to the rose the ylang ylang (which smells of banana) and the soapy white lilies are what I get most. It's more along the lines of the soft sweet but heightened femininity of such perfumes as Chloe Narcisse. Once you wear this for a few hours, you'll see how complex and delightful it really can be on your skin. There's something so odd about how you almost have to use a great dent in the bottle to get to this incensey, powdery rose that is as syrupy sweet as it is aged like mulled wine. In truth I didn’t get much else (its obviously me), no peach, no anything else, the roses were very ‘in your face’. Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. It does justice to the retro versions of fragrance of old Hollywood glamour, very Rita Hayworth, something I would expect a gorgeous red hair beauty to wear.

There is even a play-doh nuance, doll head characteristic abaut it but less pronounced and round then that in Dior Hipnotic Poison and the likes.

I have to add that I don’t often get compliments on my perfume these days, mainly because fragrances are weaker and have little or no sillage because of scent stabilizers being reduced in the past few years . A peat fire, candlelight, mulled wine, spice from pomanders of cloves and cinnamon, champagne and hot whiskey. On me sillage and longevity are moderate, perhaps I am partially anosmic to it, I spray 5 times to smell it. The peach is like peach syrup and it comes through in the opening and stays strong throughout the performance of the perfume, enveloping those multi colored florals.
