After almost two years without any subsequent announcements, Blum confirmed in June 2020 that the movie was still in active development, [128] which he reiterated in November 2020. [129] On November 20, Cawthon announced in a Reddit post discussing the many scrapped screenplays for the film that filming for the movie, referring to its script as the "Mike" screenplay, would begin in spring 2021. [130] However, Blum revealed in September 2021 that the film still had script issues and that Columbus was no longer attached to the project as director. [131] In March 2022, Blum stated that news on the film is "dangerously close" and that it could release in 2023. [132] Horror Game Five Nights at Freddy's Teases Sequel". GameSpot. Five Nights at Freddy’s is possibly a series title with The Silver Eyes being this book’s title. I hope he’s got a whole series lined up because I’d LOVE to see them on my shelf. Villanueva, Jeff. I am utterly disappointed in this book and I really wanted to enjoy it, but there were quite simply too many negative elements that make it what it is. The characters could have gone through a more thorough process of development in lieu of mindlessly plodding through the story line before finally reaching a climactic last quarter. Shaun Musgrave of TouchArcade gave a rating of 3.5 out of 5, noting the game's reliance on atmosphere to induce fear, noting that "if the atmosphere doesn't get to you, all that's left is a very simple game of red light-green light." [150] Eurogamer 's Jeffrey Matulef called the game "wonderfully creative", and compared the animatronic animals in the game to Weeping Angels due to their ability to only move when they are not being observed. The Freddy’s franchise has potential. The game is like no other. It’s not just scary but brilliantly designed and deeply psychological. Shitty YouTubers couldn’t ruin what is one of the most original games, the kind that doesn’t rely on advance technology. It’s a prime example of how video games can be an art.

Holy crap, dat villain!!!! He was SO FREAKING sinister!! I couldn’t believe it when they actually brought in SPRINGTRAP! I had no idea he was going be a part of this story--I didn’t even think we were going to see the villain at all since we don’t necessarily see him in the games, but it turns out he was a huge part of the plot. Also, damn it, he was the freakiest villain concerned with real life crimes that I have ever read! There’s a particular scene in the climax where the cast of teenagers are trying to interrogate him but he can’t talk without the Springtrap head on!! Once they put it on his voice changes and the most disturbing explanation for his murderous actions plays out and you HATE him all the more. Several games include use of a flashlight. In the second game, the flashlight has a finite battery life and cannot be recharged, [40] while in the fourth and seventh games, the battery life is infinite. In the eighth A game, the flashlight battery varies depending on the game segment being played. Flashlight battery life is again finite in the ninth B game, but can be recharged at various recharge stations throughout the game. If the failure of the novel surprises you, keep in mind this is completely new territory. Cawthon dealt before with general psychology. He never had to create specific and diverse personalities. Here, he’s faced with a challenge of creating a cast and giving each of them a different personality. Several elements from The Silver Eyes (and its sequels) were adopted by the video games, including mentions of Hurricane, Utah in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator in the lawsuit segments. Characters that can die aren’t killed, so we’re not given a cheap death to heighten the excitement. Even the grand death of the bad guy isn’t narrated in gory detail. Fans of the game know how it happens, and just like in the game we only get the basic idea of it. The rest is up to our imagination. But something went wrong. One of Charlie's little friends was dragged away by the fox with a hook and things just went south from there. Seems there were more kids taken, or where they?
