I found reading PMLD backwards quite tricky and understand your message that just because I couldn’t do it instantly, it doesn’t mean I’m stupid! Bryan is able to give a voice to those who previously didn't have one, who were seen as unfeeling and inarticulate due to their disability but who still had the same breadth and range of emotions as any other human beings. His faith, his intelligence and his love for others all shine out of the pages of this short book which should be read by all! A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to Jonathan Bryan's charity, Teach Us Too.

Jonathan is loving, funny, clever, passionate and determined young boy, who also happens to have cerebral palsey and is unable to speak or communicate, or in fact do much for himself. In this chapter, Jonathan’s world is expanding through a 500-word story for BBC Radio 2, the writing of poetry, and holidays, along with the inevitable frustrations and setbacks. And that has helped me have some kind of insights into what it might be like for people dealing with particular tragedies or struggles in their own lives.

Combined with all of this is Bryan's laudable desire to reform special needs education and ensure everybody, irrespective of how the world perceives them due to their condition, is taught literacy as otherwise we will continue to deny disabled people the voice they so rightfully deserve. Jonathan prefers to focus on how he and his family have used the compensation to improve his quality of life.Jonathan’s account also highlights what the church in the UK has long forgotten or perhaps never knew – and that is the concept of family salvation. Foreword by Sir Michael MorpurgoA portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to Jonathan Bryan’s charity, Teach Us Too. As a paralegal in the Child Brain injury department, Jonathan’s story, the challenges that he has faced as a result of his injuries and his accomplishments echo the journey of many of the severely injured children that we represent. He grew up in a small town in Gloucestershire and he told The Guardian that he has very fond memories of growing up, depsite not being able to speak. Teach Us Too’ had been born, and national newspapers began to pick up Jonathan’s story, with his proudest moment being seeing his poem “Song Of Voice” printed in The Times.
