The story does more to generate interest in the rest of the characters and desperately makes me explore their own stories right away. I think I see where Tristan will end up if I read that scene correctly of course.

The godawful cover! The guy on the cover looks like like an emo kid in HS, but he’s supposed to be a rugged 36 year old. One of my biggest pet peeves is when there’s a person on the cover but they don’t match the description of the characters. Beautiful Carnage: A Dark Enemies to Lovers Romance (Dark Empire, Book 1) The very first thing Its important to do with any e-book is investigation your subject. Even fiction textbooks often require a bit of analysis to make sure They are really factually proper Past the prologue most of this book reads like a jealous/possessive readers fever dream. Cole is OTT possessive and I reveled in how delicious it was throughout. There’s Cole, the possessive, controlling, obsessive, touch her and I’ll take your life, the male protagonist.

I’ll admit a lot of this is corny. Small town billionaires in a secret society that runs like a criminal organization. Members of the Savage Six are described repeatedly to be the most badass, unstoppable, powerful men to ever grace the earth. It’s a bit much and it definitely takes itself very seriously however if you don’t take it too seriously and you like Hs like Cole you’ll enjoy this too. This is a steamy dad's best friend, age gap DARK romance with triggers and themes often found in these types of books. You can find a full list of trigger warnings at the start of the book. EDIT 10/14/22- I changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 because I cannot get this book out of my mind. I need more recs like it omg. So good!!!

Halfway through it, I just started skimming through the rest because there was no point in the story anymore. By the end, it was just drama (really bad drama), after drama, it was ridiculous. Like, someone tries to kill her on her sleep, she brokes her unkle and almost falls into a river, then she gets kidnapped at school or whatever.. It was pure bullshit. We know the hero is going to come rescue her anyways. They're gonna kiss, he's gonna say "you're mine" or some shit like that and it's done. My point is: there's nothing exciting about it. It's like reading the same thing over and over again. Rocco and Sloan’s story is a Stand-Alone Enemies to Lovers Dark Romance with a HEA and no cliffhanger. It contains heat, passion and explosive steamy scenes for readers who enjoy mature content.This was soo hard to rate. There was so much I didn’t like but I had to keep reading, it was like a car crash and I couldn’t look away. Fair warning for all, Cole openly admits he wants Fallon on her 16th birthday so really he wanted her before then as well so that might not sit well with others although it didn’t bother me. They don’t do anything until she is 18 anyways. This story was annoying but also intriguing. Gahhh I can’t even review it properly. BTW... this book is kinda ended up in cliffhanger so I mean the real main villain/maybe we called it mastermind is still out there, well I get it since this will be a series. The age gap/dad’s best friend part here isn’t really much of a big deal. Her dad wasn’t super excited but he accepted the situation pretty easily. Well not sure how this will play out. After several chapters of nothing and skimming I decided I will stop. Since there is over 50 chapters in this book I for see more of the nothing happening that I've already read.
