Hardwoods including exotic hardwoods and woods rich in tannins i.e. Cedar, Oak, Teak, Ipe etc may darken with Aquanett. The secret of Deks Olje’s success lies in its saturation of the wood to bring about an even ‘matt sheen’ finish when dry. Start by applying Deks Olje D1 to an area that can be treated in about 15 minutes. As soon as the 1st application has penetrated (normally 15-30 minutes), apply a 2nd application. Then continue applying D1 ‘wet on wet’ until a uniform, overall saturation of the wood is achieved. The number of applications needed depends on the wood. Scrub the surface with a stiff nylon scrubbing brush while flushing with water. To flush the water you can use a pressure washer (max. 60 bars / 870 psi), a garden hose or other water source. Apply Owatrol Net-Trol with a stiff scrubbing brush working in to rust stain. Leave to work for 10 minutes. Re-scrub surface with a stiff scrubbing brush. Rinse with large amounts of fresh clean water.

It will save both time and effort when cleaning and restoring colour to wood by effortlessly removing both the surface and ground in dirt in as little as 15 minutes without the need for sanding. Net-trol is also biodegradable and does not contain solvents or bleach meaning it’s not harmful to plants and shrubs so it’s safe to use in the garden.

Clean all tools and equipment with white spirits while still wet. If allowed to dry, remove with paint stripper. Wipe up any drips or runs immediately with a cloth soaked in white spirits. Dried Deks Olje D1 may be removed with Dilunett. Store and maintain equipment as directed by manufacturer. Exterior – Prepare as for interior wood or treat the surface with Aquanett and then neutralise with Net-Trol. With a fast working solution, Owatrol Net-trol Wood Cleaner & Brightener can restore weathered wood to its original colour within 15 minutes. Net-trol is also effective in clean and neutralising tannin staining and removing rust stains.

Cover and protect everything you do not wish to strip or clean, including plants, shrubs and any aluminium surfaces. After stripping and rinsing. All porous surfaces must be immediately treated with Net-trol while still wet to neutralise the surface. Clean up Leave to stand for approx 10-20 minutes. If surface starts to dry, dampen with a mist application of water. Wet surface with fresh, clean water. Apply Owatrol Net-Trol. Scrub surface to agitate the Owatrol Net-Trol. Leave to stand for approx. 10-20 minutes. If surface starts to dry, dampen with a mist application of water. Scrub surface while flushing with water or use a pressure washer (max. 60 bar/870 psi). Rinse thoroughly with fresh clean water. If required repeat procedure. If, however, you have wooden surfaces that have become grey and dirty due to tannin bleed or weathering caused by mildew, pollution and UV rays, then Net-Trol is the product of choice!
