With brand-new songs thrown into the mix, this movie will offer fans an all-singing, all-dancing good time! Despite his small size, Flounder is brave and always willing to help out. He may be a bit nervous at times, but he never lets that stop him from doing what’s right. Alan Menken, who composed the original songs for the animated film, is teaming up with Lin-Manuel Miranda to write some brand-new tunes for the live-action version. Of course, the story of The Little Mermaid is already well-known, but this live-action version promises to add some new twists and turns.

Oops! Get ready Little Mermaid fans! Looks like we get a sneak peek at some up and coming merchandise! Funko Pop Little Mermaid continues to add popular characters from under the sea. Collectively, the set features multiple figures of the beloved Disney Princess and her underwater friends. The POPs feature Ariel in human form, Prince Eric, King Triton and the villainous Ursula. For the most part, it looks like these guys will resemble their animated counterparts in the movie.

 Star-Studded Cast

The Little Mermaid is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.

And, of course, we can’t talk about The Little Mermaid without mentioning Scuttle, the kooky seagull with a heart of gold. As you can see there are quite a few Little Mermaid Pops. Scuttle adds a much-needed dose of humor to the movie with his zany antics and offbeat personality. We still don't know very much about this take on the story, but based on what we've seen so far, director Rob Marshall won't be taking too many liberties with the animated classic it's based upon.Not only does he provide some of the movie’s catchiest tunes (who can resist singing along to “Under the Sea”?), but he also serves as Ariel’s advisor and confidante. It’s time to grab your dinglehoppers and prepare to go underwater because Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid is finally coming to theaters!
