Jade only appears in a picture shown in the episode's opening, along with being mentioned once by Violet. She's fully articulated and posable. Jade and the rest of the girls are brought to the auditorium and presented with the task of designing new cheer uniforms for the school. The team divides the work, and Jade is put in charge of hair and makeup, her specialty. She and Ruby have a disagreement when Jade's vision for hair doesn't match the vibe of Ruby's emblem designs, but Skyler helps them resolve the conflict, and their designs are accepted. Jade Hunter got a cheerleading makeover in a gorgeous green cheer outfit that reflects her edgy, cool personality. Jade appears with Sunny and Ruby, laughing hysterically over The Assistant's audition for Rainbow Vision. While being close and stable friends, Skyler and Jade do not interact very much, but they show a great deal of respect for each other's talents and contributions. Jade is still very upset over Bella's absence, being more moody than normal when Poppy asks to borrow her shirt. Amaya, wanting to be more included in the group, rebuilds the school's Color Change Chamber, inviting Jade and the rest of the girls to see it. Jade has low expectations from Amaya, but when she sees it in action, she realizes that Amaya is talented and that she has been taking out her frustrations on her. Jade apologizes and says she will try to be nicer, though it will take a while for them to become true friends. She appears in the halls listening to Holly and Laurel talk about their play, happily deciding to do the stage makeup Jade participates in the scavenger hunt with her friends, and they find out she is working on a makeup line called "Look Up". Using this information they finish the scavenger hunt. After they won, she received makeup gifts, along with personalized gifts for the rest of her friends.CHEER STYLE. Series 1 character Jade Hunter now comes in a cheerleading outfit that reflects her edgy, cool personality. She also has a ponytail hairstyle with cute hair bow and barrettes Jade is both seen and mentioned by Violet as she recaps the year, with her talking about Jade's love of makeup. She makes a small appearance in the middle of the episode, where she shows the sunglasses that her father gave to her. While trying to give a pair to Poppy she realizes that she is clearly upset. After practicing her runway walk, Jade and her friends decide to make Poppy feel better. In particular, Jade used spray paint to create a painting in Poppy's dorm room. Jade appears once again with her group, being shown to be working on the scavenger hunt and bonding with everyone. Once again making a minor appearance, Jade is terrified about not finding Amaya, even exclaiming how things would be better if Bella never left. After Amaya and the rest of the girls fix the dresses, Jade gives Amaya words of appreciation and gratitude.

Now part of the story, Jade approaches Sunny and asks if she's okay, with Violet jumping in explain Sunny wasn't stealing. Once everyone makes up, they all spend the rest of the day together, with Jade taking them all to the makeup shop.Her and Jade have had a complicated relationship, since Jade and Violet always seem to be on opposing ends of arguments, especially when Bella is involved. They seem to make up afterwards so it can be assumed they are on more friendlier terms. Jade appears sitting with Poppy when they get a call from a crying Bella, revealing that her expulsion was posted on The Vi Life. Feeling furious, Jade confronts Violet and demands for it to be taken down, with Violet refusing. Feeling betrayed, she teams up with Ruby to embarrass Violet, deciding to film her doing The Buddy Bubble Boogie. This works and they post it, humiliating her and making themselves guilty. With help from Amaya, they make it up to her, doing the same dance as well.

Making her next major appearance, Jade appears with Bella in the auditorium to hear about Radiant Week from Ms. Wright and Ms. Morton. When everyone is allowed to choose their groups Bella plans to be with Jade, however she ends up choosing Jett and Robin, offending Bella and making her go with others too. Jade then tries to comfort her but Bella is having none of it and they both end up shutting each other out for the episode. Near the end they both run into each other in the halls, where Bella confronts Jade, ending their conflict on a cliffhanger. Jade co-starred with River as his romantic interest in Holly and Laurel's play “A Winter Tale of Two Super Beautiful Enchantresses”. She also thought he was cute when she first saw him in " Bring On Rainbow Cheer".

Jade had proven herself to be a levelheaded and reasonable person, as seen when she attempted to talk Bella out of sacrificing her future at Rainbow High for a potential internship. Despite her rough exterior, Jade also has a sensitive side- especially when it comes to her work. She's very protective of her work and can take critiques personally. She expresses her emotions openly and can't hide them when she's feeling hurt or frustrated. Fortunately, she doesn't take her frustrations out on her friends. Rather, she saves her anger for those she feels deserve it. Jade also has a somewhat guarded exterior - it seems to take a lot to gain her trust. Jade talks about her passion for makeup, saying it has the ability to change you into whoever you want to be. Later in the episode, she and the runway group get into a small fight about who will get the feature, however they all make up in the end and are proud of Ruby for getting the role.
