Application was easy with the long handled brush I bought at the same time. The oil appeared to soak in well, even the second coat and it gave a nice satin like finish. Too early to comment on durability but I intend to apply again before the winter. The great benefit over the wax based product I’ve used for years and which went patchy in exposed areas is that I’ll just be able to apply more oil without stripping it when needed.
