Coulais is a remarkable composer and the music here is a perfect match for the visuals. The score is exciting and bold. Teri Hatcher is outstanding in the role – especially in regards to voicing the "other mother" to Coraline. Hatcher provides theCoraline. Fanning imbues the character with plenty of personality: providing Coraline with a clear sense of character. The role was a great match. Behind the Scenes (2:06) – the 25 behind-the-scenes photos run automatically but can be navigated using the Chapter Stops on your remote and can also be paused. The Laika company‘s stop-motion animated films “Coraline” and “ParaNorman” will be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in both standard and SteelBook forms on December 13th via Shout! Factory. Inside LAIKA: Revisiting The Puppets With LAIKA’s Animation Team – this all-new featurette is a look at the various characters in the film. The 60 to 90-second featurettes are broken down by character and are essentially micro-commentaries by the animators discussing the animation of the character. Coraline delivers a brand new 2160p UHD 4K transfer with Dolby Vision HDR and it looks the best it ever has. Since Shout Factory and Laika started doing business together, these amazing collector editions have been out of this world, and Coraline is no different with this impressive steelbook. Their past collaboration on this very movie was wonderful, but somehow they managed to upgrade the video even more with HDR in 4K.found myself even humming it around my house. The score is breathtakingly beautiful and creative and one of the best efforts ever for an animated Dakota Fanning, Ian McShane, Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, and Teri Hatcher headline this terrific voice cast. Obviously, the figures don’t really look like their respective actors, but they feel like they belong to them. I can picture Teri Hatcher and John Hodgman as yuppie gardening bloggers. I can imagine Ian McShane as a retired circus man. French and Saunders are well, basically French and Saunders but really funny and hyper-exaggerated. Then we have Keith David as the cat and anytime that guy gets to do any voice work is a good day. I still maintain that if/when they ever do another live-action Spawn movie by default he should do the voice no matter who wears the costume.
