From the start, Daphne tries to be a good mother, but she’s plagued by dark moods and intrusive thoughts that convince her she’s capable of harming her own daughter. The book is supremely atmospheric, the characters are fascinating in their unpredictably and the pages just turn themselves. I have some specific examples I’d like to include to further explain my thoughts on “The Other Mother”. However, he lets slip some valuable information about the Other Mother for which he is punished and pushed through a trapdoor.
