In Russia, many babushki wear these scarves. But in the winter, those with some money prefer fur hats, and they wear them constantly in public. As I stared at the purse, an old woman moved in front of me and broke into a broad grin. "Ne noozhna," she whispered, somehow fearing I could be lured into the terrible mistake of actually buying one of these beautiful but useless things. "Ne noozhna," she said, wagging a finger at the glass case. When I left the store -- without the purse -- she walked out triumphantly with me. The wise old Samaritan, the guardian of good sense, had scored again. She set off towards Bethlehem, and it was evening when Babushka arrived. She went into the local inn and asked about the kings. In the spring and summer these lonely old people -- the babushki without families -- can be seen sitting on benches in Moscow, staring placidly at the stream of youngsters passing them by.

I only say this because I've done the research. As someone who used to work for MAC Cosmetics, Arbonne and a BIG oil company and as someone who now is a volunteer editor for a healthier startup company called Vimala, I know that neither Eucerin nor petroleum-based products are safe to use. Mixed up with some olive oil, she swears by it for stretch marks. And she even keeps a bottle of olive oil in the shower.
