But that’s not always fun because Illustrated Faith releases the cutest products and I want to use them all! I think this is the most expensive thing I have bought on Etsy and it was a pleasure to work with this seller (they may disagree on how easy it was to work with me).DaySpring’s NEW Illustrating Bible is finally here, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you! I just love the bold print on the title pages for each new book of the Bible, the ownership “this Bible belongs to” page at the front is a lovely touch, and I found that this Bible is truly inspiring, the added space to create and simply the nature of ‘The Gospels’ really lends itself to Bible Journaling as a creative form of worship and expression. DaySpring was founded in 1971 and has been in the business and ministry of Christian products and content since its inception. There aren’t any other versions at this time but I know that DaySpring is taking your feedback and your requests for different versions and font sizes so we may see those changes in the future. Let me start by first saying, the Illustrating Bible comes in a beautiful, sturdy box for safe keeping.

While the font is still 8 point, the book titles are smaller, in a more modern font, and are slightly offset to the edge of the margin. I’m in love with my best friend, Jesus Christ, and I have a passion to share His love with the world, one little blog post at a time.I would say the Bible is huge and heavy though so it didn’t fit in my bag this is more of a personal at home kind of thing. The majority of my Bibles serve to help me grow in my walk with God, but many of them are used for this ministry and help others grow too. As I’m looking for new Bibles, I’m curious about the features that make it different than Bibles using the same translation.

It’s not impossible to watercolor in the Illustrating Bible but it can take some practice due to the differences from traditional Bible paper and watercolor paper.I pray that the resources here help you begin your bible journal ministry for self-discovery, evangelism, and community.

Several of the pages are either double punched or have been pulled, like you’d start to pull a page out of a spiral bound notebook, in effect. Bible journaling is a devotional style, a Bible study method, an avenue to help you spend more time with God in His Word. These pages are more porous so they grab onto the pigment which means it can be more difficult to get a seamless blend and near impossible to lift color if you make a mistake.
